BC Blog, 2/2/2019

 Happy Feb!  I have a few things to talk to you guys about.  

First off, I'm almost done with another chapter of Nora.  It's been slow because of the next thing I'm going to talk to you about.  

I've been feeling burnt out, and Melli suggested we go on vacation to see family.  I've also never been to any Disney parks...  So we went to Florida for a week!

We checked out Disney World and then tooled around Florida.  Witnessing post-hurricane destruction was...wild.  Wow.  

The picture is one that the park took of me and Melli while we were blasting aliens in the Toy Story ride.  That was actually a lot of fun.  We were max-serious.

I've felt guilty about writing so slowly lately, and realized that getting some down time was probably necessary to actually pick up the pace back to 2017 levels.  So far, it seems to have worked.  I need to get the house back in order now (ugh, groceries) but I think I can really knock out a lot of work in the next week or two.

On another topic...this is a little hard to talk about.

So...you guys know I've been meaning to divest myself of a lot of social media stuff I do.  Well, that all came to a head while I was on vacation, and I am going to formally step down from day-to-day modding etc of the GameLit Society tonight.

It's taking me a while to find the right words for it, but I think it will be better for everyone.  It will definitely be better for you guys--I'll have a lot more time to write now!  I'll also be a lot less stressed out on a day-to-day basis.

For those of you in the GameLit Society, you should see a post about it soon.

Anyway, as always, thank you for your support.  The First Song audio book that came out a few days ago is amazing, and for those of you who read audio books, I hope you enjoy it.
