New story possibility - to be posted here!

Hey everyone! My business relationships have shifted some, but I still have a few irons in multiple fires and one of my friends might co-write with me! I'm going to keep some of the details close to the chest for right now, but after giving him a number of story ideas, he narrowed them down to the three that interest him the most.
I suggested that we show you the three ideas we talked about and see which ones interest you all the most. :)
If my buddy does this project with me, we'll do the reveal of who it will be, and then I will post those chapters here as they are written, so you all will get more to read!
Without further ado:
1) The MC discovers that the world is going to end, invaded by nightmare creatures through a rift. He dies. Through a fluke of fate, he is rewound to birth...with all of his memories intact! At that moment he learns that everyone on earth is amazing, born with great potential--they just don’t understand how to allocate their points as babies before the opportunity passes. The MC allocates his points, then spends the rest of his second life preparing for the invasion/calamity. He may even learn a mysterious way to gain more points after the rift opens...
2) The Earth was destroyed by The Event. Of the survivors, a few have discovered that magic exists, and it is fueled by love or fear. The more people love or fear someone, and the stronger that emotion is, the more powerful that person becomes. Most mages are despots, ruling with terror to gain power. However, the MC meets a dog-race girl who is so loyal, he steps into the realm of mages...through love.
3) The MC is a large, fantasy rat. After meeting a god, he learns that he can bypass the circle of life and spend his karma points to start a new existence with all of his memories. He wants to be a dragon one day, but getting there will require a /lot/ of good karma...and a really long time with multiple new lives as a biped. He might even need to save the world a few times...

3 makes me think a little of the First two books in the continue online series.

2018-04-12 01:43:57 +0000 UTCIts because while 3 is interesting it has the greatest chance of failure in our, or atleast my, eyes. 1 is safer, and we trust the quality of your writing to make a safe story interesting. ( no idea about the poor shmuck you roped into this.)

2018-04-11 08:31:30 +0000 UTCI think 3 would be interesting but I'm not sure how I'd actually like it. I voted 1 and 2 becausei think they're both awesome, abd child even be melded into a single story. It world at least. If the stories were blurbs I'd pick those two up way before I did 3, though I'd get to all of them eventually if they were all on kindle unlimited. :p

2018-04-10 14:16:28 +0000 UTCI voted for 1 and 3. I like the idea of 1 the most. It's not SUPER original but if done well would be good. 3 sounds like more original and fun, but as others said would likely be tough to pull off. Have you read "I'm a spider, so what?" (kumo desu ga nani ka). It reminds me a little of that. 2. sounds kind of cheesy.

2018-04-10 13:36:35 +0000 UTC3 seems very cool, with multiple biped lives in the mix allowing lots of opportunities for varied stories for the mc

2018-04-10 12:35:57 +0000 UTCLets go with 3, it seems to be the most unique and least cheesy of the options available.

2018-04-10 09:33:59 +0000 UTCThat pretty much echo's my thoughts... 3 in particular I think would be particularly hard to do well as a serialised story... the endgame is already known... but the journey is not so restricted... and maintaining the interest and momentum and not having it devolve into a series of standalone episodes... sounds like it would much harder than with the other 2. (that probably makes no sense... it did in my head... hence me not being an author so what do I know! :)

2018-04-10 09:18:05 +0000 UTCI like number 1 because I'm a big fan of lit rpg in general, number two has a lot of potential to be great, but would be really hard to pull off, number 3 as a idea seams great and I really like it, i'm just not sure how much I'll actually like it when it's a book. Overall all good ideas and I'd read any of them, so best of luck.
