What should BC write next?
Added 2018-02-13 08:34:14 +0000 UTCHey everyone!
I kind of made up my mind about what to write before, but I just realize that the comments I see might not reflect what the community actually thinks.
I will be working on a new book with William Arand next for sure, but I want to write something else in tandem.
Make your voice heard! My Patreon patrons (all of you) are the first folks I will ever ask about this sort of thing, so I'd like to hear your opinion.

Nobody else is the genre is doing anything close to what we are doing. :)

2018-02-21 21:15:25 +0000 UTCCan you drop any blurbs about your colaboration with Arand? If not, any hints about subject would also be cool.

2018-02-21 20:36:27 +0000 UTCOkay ya'all. I'm working on 3 books in tandem. I'm going to be world building with William Arand and putting chapters up of both SOO2 and Nora2. I will probably stop after a few chapters of SOO2, but that way ya'all can have /proof/ that it'll be written. lol

2018-02-16 00:37:14 +0000 UTCSecrets of the Old Ones was so original and fun to read! Steampunk, Lovecraft, and litRPG are perfect together, and it's something nobody else seems to be doing. I was hoping you'd write a sequel, and I'm definitely glad you're considering it!

2018-02-14 23:00:28 +0000 UTCSince it's so close, maybe I will just post a few chapters of each and then go with the one that will take less time

2018-02-14 20:42:05 +0000 UTCI want to see both books but honestly people have been waiting for the next secrets of the old God's longer. Fair is fair.

2018-02-14 16:12:21 +0000 UTCI very much liked SOO, it feels like a mystery novel that doesn't suck combined with lit rpg lovecraft. I'm not a huge fan of mystery novels in general, but SOO has a mystery aspect that is not the focal point so its interesting, not boring. Plus Lovecraftian RPG puzzle solving and Let'sPlay style followings of the game. I'm torn between it and Nora, but I voted Nora as I want full attention paid to SOO when worldbuilding so it doesn't suffer from creative exhaustion. I think Nora would be the better choice for a simultaneous production.

2018-02-14 10:57:14 +0000 UTCI like everything I write so I'm probably not the best person to answer this. I'm sure someone else will chime in, though.

2018-02-14 05:49:59 +0000 UTCHey, I haven't read SotOO, is it good? Like compared to Delvers?

2018-02-14 05:29:38 +0000 UTCIf you keep writing the way you're writing... you're good.

2018-02-13 23:20:12 +0000 UTCSOO2 gets my vote, depending on whether you are going to write a litrpg with William Arand. If you guys are going to collaborate on a litrpg, I would say to go for Nora 2.

2018-02-13 21:30:37 +0000 UTCNora 2 please, I would like to see where you take it next

2018-02-13 17:19:06 +0000 UTCWow. This is a lot closer than I'd thought it would be. You guys are not making this easy. Need more votes!

2018-02-13 16:40:26 +0000 UTCI want nora2 but in part that is because of a strong belief that she will be important in delvers 4
Robert Rosenthal
2018-02-13 16:13:05 +0000 UTCDelvers 4 is most important, SOO2 would be nice, Nora is OK but not what I'm here for.

2018-02-13 14:24:59 +0000 UTCI voted NH2. I have a fear of change, and while I do eventually want to see how SOO carrys on, since Nora has started and thats what I'm on currently, I'd rather see the finish to that set. And while I doubt BC would do it, I was a Patrick Rothfuss reader for Kingkiller Chronicles... eagerly awaiting the finale (for 4 years now) that he recently admits will probably never happen. Every time an author says they will do a different book between a series, my first thought is "well.... theres the end of that". Change is bad, mmmkay.

2018-02-13 14:17:08 +0000 UTCMy vote is for SOO, that is how I came to find your works to begin with :)

2018-02-13 13:35:29 +0000 UTCI loved SOO and I have always wanted to read what happens next.
Kyle J Smith
2018-02-13 11:43:04 +0000 UTCHaving just finished reading Nora, and not having read SOO yet, my vote goes to Nora. I felt that Nora came to a satisfying conclusion, but I still want to read the continuation as soon as possible (at least right now, a month from now it'll be easier to wait :P).

2018-02-13 10:34:42 +0000 UTCSince you're doing world building with Arand working on a second story with a lot of world building (SOO) might be more exhausting than something with a more developed background. I usually find it helps my creative side to do something more familiar while thinking about the new ideas.
Robert Brandt
2018-02-13 10:30:07 +0000 UTCNew delvers asap! Nora is great, but i gotta see what happened after the big fight!
Micah Rutledge
2018-02-13 10:22:33 +0000 UTCUnfortunately, they'd be about the same. I have a /lot/ of worldbuilding done for Ludus already, so that is work I don't need to do. Plus, SOO is RPG GameLit. I have had to build the game in the background which takes a lot of time and referencing while writing. It's actually harder to write a shorter book, too. Either story will not be easy, but will still be fun :)
Blaise Corvin
2018-02-13 10:04:54 +0000 UTCPlus SOO book one was really short, So you might finish that faster or with less work as side project.
Sam Ellis
2018-02-13 09:28:31 +0000 UTCThat's what he's already planing. He said that he is going to be working on a book with fellow William Arand.
Sam Ellis
2018-02-13 09:25:53 +0000 UTCI love Delvers but in a lot ways I started reading your stuff because of SOO.
Sam Ellis
2018-02-13 09:25:15 +0000 UTCI haven't read SOO yet so I'm biased, but I'm all for the Delver's universe books!

2018-02-13 08:55:44 +0000 UTCWell I wanna get to the point where Nora ties into delvers LLC asap so you can get delvers 4 going :). Bearing that in mind I have heared from other authors that writing 2 stories at once is a good thing :) . So.....who says it has to be just one or the other? :) :)
