What the hell is going on with BC today? (+ pictures)

Hey everyone!
I'm sorry again for the delay on chapters. My life is changing right now and it's all a lot to deal with.
In preparation for being laid off, I went to the office today and picked up all my stuff from my desk. It was a little bittersweet. I found random things in some of the drawers from like 5 or 6 years ago.
Anyway, this will prevent me from ever needing to be walked through the building by security. They do that in IT if you get laid off...and nobody wants that, right?
I will be working more on Nora tonight and hopefully have some chapters up soon. Thanks for hanging out with me and believing in me, everyone. Your support means a lot. I'm not usually an emotional sort of person, but leaving IT and becoming a full time writer, despite being my dream, has been making me very reflective. Unfortunately, introspection is a really shitty state of mind to be writing fantasy violence.
Ugh.

Thanks a ton. I actually can't get unemployment because I have the writing royalties. As for the layoff, I might have been able to survive it if I kissed a lot of ass and worked at least 50 hours a week, but I just didn't have it in me this time. HP split, then my portion of the company got sold off. The corporate culture changed twice. I decided to just let the chips fall as they may, and it seems I'm going to be let go. I have a lot of mixed feelings about it (it's been over 5 years), but this is a great opportunity to finally stop talking about it and go full time. :)

2017-11-02 15:48:55 +0000 UTCSo did you volunteer for a layoff so you can test writing full time wih a (small) security net of unemployment, or is it just bad luck? Either way, in my experience, authors that post anything, get less crap from their readers. Doesnt even have to be chapters, just a "hey this is whats hapening" every week. I think that most people are far too invested in the story to just walk away because of a hiccup. You have historically been pretty reliable for some kind of content to read every week. Sometimes a lot of it. Dont stress over it.

2017-11-01 20:07:21 +0000 UTCFirst part of change is pain and stress, but change is a requirement for living. Good luck with staying ahead of the game - it is especially difficult to work in IT and get laid off...
