Update for Patreon Patrons on current state
Added 2017-09-03 12:42:40 +0000 UTCHey all,
Sorry it took me a while to remember to update everyone, but in my defense, I've been pretty much traveling or drunk for 5 days straight.
Anyway, I have another chapter complete and Delvers book 3 is almost done, but I'm at DragonCon selling books and networking. It's kicking my ass but this has been amazing.
In one day I met Kevin J Anderson, chatted with Larry Correia, and drank with Myke Cole.
It feels weird to be a writer after being a reader all my life, but the transition is happening.
I may have some really exciting announcements in the next year, too. It seems a lot of folks in the traditional industry still have a problem recognizing LitRPG, but there is too much money and too many readers at stake. I think that all of us readers are going to finally get some great stories in book stores in the near future.
Stay tuned!

2017-09-04 10:53:09 +0000 UTCI wouldn't take a deal where I'd have to change my methodology. I'm not high on the idea of being in Barnes and Noble. You guys are all awesome and more than enough for my ego. :P

2017-09-04 10:52:31 +0000 UTCJeff is keeping his time open to wait for me. It's really just kind of up to me and getting the damn book edited and released. Realistically, there will be a delay, but hopefully not much of one

2017-09-04 03:12:46 +0000 UTCI read all the way up to chapter 29 last night, and now i NEED MORE. Can't wait for the new chapter thanks for all your hard work!
2017-09-04 00:19:53 +0000 UTCMan you would make a horrible drug dealer. For future reference, examples of acceptable excuses for leaving your addicted clientele in desperate need of a fix: 1) Your pet ferret died and you just finished a seven day vigil 2) You were kidnapped by anarchists who cut off your big toe in hopes of scoring of big ransom payment 3) Arrested for smuggling copies of Delvers LLC: Welcome to Ludus into Cuba Examples of unacceptable excuses for leaving your addicted clientele in desperate need of a fix: 1) I was off (ANYWHERE) doing (ANYTHING FUN) with (VARIOUS COOL PEOPLE) while you checked in daily to see if I was back yet Jokes aside, hope you had fun and set yourself up for a long writing career. It's good to see people living the dream!

2017-09-04 00:04:54 +0000 UTCMeh, print is pretty much dead to me. I used to have a shit ton of hardback books and two bookcases to fill, but after all of the moving I had to do, it got old very quickly. Oh I guess majority of authors make most of their money from publishers still. I remember one major indie author that broke into traditional publishing saying that they made a lot of money and made the publisher a lot of money. More than they would have made alone. Good luck with that, but wouldn't that mean a change to releasing chapters on patreon? Also they likely won't allow more than a single book a year.

2017-09-03 20:00:39 +0000 UTCHoly crap! How did it go with Larry Correia? Myke Cole sounds familiar... oh, I love his books. Military Sci-fi / Fantasy is definitely very neat subgenre, especially with all of the retired military becoming authors. I will say that given the explosion of great books and authors in the LitRPG fantasy subgenre that it won't matter. People might scuff at it, but I mean, it is pretty awesome. I am liking your and Andrew Rowe take on LitRPG genre. Dungeon Born is pretty great too. Given the awesome stories being written, I am at least very happy with the genre. There will always be haters for anything new. It is just whether or not the quality is there to weather the test of time.
