While reading through the diary. Dani and Leo were surprised to find out that despite Leslie living over 150 years ago, he was just like them. The first half of the diary was just filled with little random doodles. Similar to what Dani does whenever there's a random scrap of paper in front of him. About halfway through though Leslie actually starts documenting his days.

From the looks of it, he had no idea how to read or write at first. However his spelling and grammar seem to get better the further Dani and Leo read. On one day Leslie writes that Henry was teaching him how to read and write every evening. By the looks of it he was actually learning quite quickly. Dani didn't know how to read until he was 10! Which resulted in his butt getting caned a lot at the orphanage..
The relationship between Leslie and Henry was really cute to read. Leslie really liked Henry, and from some of the stories he had written in the diary so far it seemed the feeling was mutual. One entry though made Dani and Leo a little sad.
"I have much feelings for Master Henry, more than a friend or mentor. I must keep them to myself though for it is forbidden. The death penalty for sodomy has only recently been lifted. However I could still find myself imprisoned if I let these feelings be known. Maybe one day people such as myself will be accepted for what we are".

Later in the diary, Leslie talks about accidentally letting Henry know though. He was terrified of what might happen. But Henry reassured him. He too felt the same, but knew they had to keep it a secret. Fortunately the isolated location of Dane Bank station meant that they had plenty of privacy to explore things, once the commuter trains stopped for the evening.

As Dani was reading a passage, another photo fell out. Leo held it up and said. "Ha no way. Hey Alex, Henry looks like you too! You 2 must've planted these".
Alex looked closely at the photo though as said. "Well I certainly haven't planted them. And that diary's been locked in a cupboard for the past 8 years without Dani even knowing of its existence. The resemblance to us though is uncanny"?

The photo was of Leslie and Henry sat on the platform. Henry in his station master uniform, and Leslie in a cute little feminine outfit. What caught Leo's eye though, and made him grin, was Leslie's expression.
On the back was the usual caption from Henry.
"When I first developed this photograph, I was a little annoyed to find Leslie pulling a silly face.. However on closer inspection, his expression seems to be the result of a wasp trying to enter his chastity belt. I did wonder why as soon as the photo timer chimed, he leapt to his feet and ran off down the platform screaming.. I just assumed it was Leslie being his usual queer self".

Just another little trip to the 1860s. Thought it was about time I drew Henry :3
