Ask Neia - 3

Good fuck, this took forever. Almost a year later, Neia finally gets to hold another presentation XD ...

A lot of it is down to the fact I had to produce a lot of fresh artwork to accompany the text. The actual explanations and it's structure was done pretty quickly.

Anyway, I'll let Neia do the talking again. She has a lot to tell you after all.

LYA~

How long is the average lifespan of a Si'itae? Can it be prolonged by any means? Maybe not with implants but by other means? How long do Si'itians stay in service, like is there a maximum age at which you can be active in the field? At what age can they sign up for the military? How long do they stay in school (civilian life)? Can anyone non-Si'itae apply to join the Si'itae military? If not, can there still be non-Si'itae allowed to undergo the various phases of the training, just to experience it, and then simply not join in the military?

Wonderful to see you again, Thanaku Usekea. We have missed you. And thank you for once again sharing your insights and answering our questions. And I do have a couple more. Let me see if I can word them properly. Oh, and I apologize if any of these questions have already been answered. First, I noticed a couple of drones (I guess) in some of the images. Those very triangular things. I wonder what those are and what their function is. They do look a bit like Si'itian heads, which makes me think of servo-skulls... but explaining what those are would take up too much time :) Now, from your comments as well as some other material about your people that I have seen it appears that for Si'itians casual sexual relationships are not unusual. And it is nice to hear that this applies to military personnel as well. Probably helps a lot with stress. But I'm wondering how this is between members of your military and civilians. Are there rules against it? Is it maybe discouraged? Or no issue at all? And less a question, more a comment, but I hadn't even considered that the augmentations would have to be removed when a soldier retires. It makes perfect sense. They wouldn't get to keep their weapons or armor either after all. But that does sound really rough. I imagine the process of removing them itself is no less complicated and invasive than installing them in the first place. In addition to re-learning how to be normal again. Oh, actually, that makes me think of another question. Among our people one often hears that retired military personnel have a hard time adjusting to civilian life. How is it for Si'itians? If it is similar I hope at least the your system for helping them is better than ours. In any case, thank once you again Thanaku Usekea. I hope we won't have to wait quite so long before we see you again :)
