She really needed that second pass! I'm really, really happy with how she turned out. For the first time, I left her design up to someone else! I showed Bulumblebee her previous design, gave him a list of things I'd like to keep, and he did the rest. And he absolutely nailed it! Her pose, face, tail and clothes, I love it! There was still a bit of back and forth of course, but just about everything that's changed was Bee's idea. I hope you'll like her! I know I do ^^

She'll probably be the last redesign before a while! I'll be focusing on new characters from now on, and in particular on the winners of the monstergirl polls #30 and lower. Things are calming down for me on that side in that I now have a monstergirl ready in advance for next time and I intend to keep it that way! This will greatly reduce the stress of revealing a monstergirl every month ^^
Additionally, I've finished another 2 designs. I said I finished one of the harder ones in the last devlog, but these two ended up being way more difficult! Given I'm almost done designing every girl from the first 30 polls, I'll just reveal who I was working on. The difficult one from last time was Sphinx, and the two I worked on this time were Court of Pixies and Puzzle girl! It's still only the design though, they still need to actually be drawn! The order they'll be revealed in will still be a surprise ^^

I also spent a lot of time working with several artists. Given I've only been working on art stuff I don't have as much to talk about as if I'd been working on code. However! I have news on chibi BE!
So, the special process I've mentioned before is that I've been planning to have 3D models of the chibis made. The idea was that I'd then be able to trace over them, which saves me a LOT of time compared to doing it all from scratch but still preserve the hand drawn feel. In fact, one of the sprites you've seen was made through this process! Specifically, I'm referring to the newest Vanille chibi sprite which is also the first one you see of her in the game where's she's reaching to place a seashell in the pillar slot.
It's a bit of a specific process despite how simple it sounds, thank you very much to GS for helping me figure it out a few months ago! Since then, I have been working with MrUberPie on this project. We now have a template body ready and things have started to ramp up after we figured out a few more kinks! As time goes, we'll amass a collection of chibi body proportions, poses, hair, boob sizes etc which will make the whole thing even easier over time!

Zombie was the perfect playable character to start because of her proportions and poses, and here is the result:

Given that 3D models can be posed easily, this also makes it much easier to get consistent proportions across the board, including for boob sizes! It's a bit more complex for characters who already have a chibi sprite done since it's a bit of a hybrid thing, but that's for me to worry about. This is the reason I avoided drawing new playable character chibi sprites until now ^^
And of course, I also get a 3D model on top! Maybe lil figurines or something at some point ^^

Now, you might remember me saying a long time ago that chibi BE sprites would only cover R1, R3 and R5, as this was already a lot of work. The idea was to add a Patreon goal for the chibi BE R2, R4 and R6 once I knew exactly how much effort this was going to be. As you might have noticed above, every rank for Zombie has been drawn (R6 as well, but I'm keeping it secret as usual of course)!
As it turns out, this new process makes chibi BE much more approachable. On top of this, the Patreon already reached $3000 without new incentives being introduced. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart! ^^
And so, I'm confirming that every chibi sprite rank will be included in the game! No more "R1, R3 and R5", we're doing R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 AND R6!!!

Finally, I did even more cup size research, and I have it all figured out for my purposes! First of all, big thank you to AlsOb ObAlso for showing me RymansHentaiCorner's Boob visualizer!
I guess there really isn't a reliable formula to get boob volume, which was the big bottleneck last time. I don't have a way to tell if the Boob visualizer is 100% correct (there probably doesn't exist a 100% correct way to get this information), but it is extremely handy and very consistent. By using it coupled with a few conversions to get metric system values and EU cup sizes, I get everything I need! Also, some of the numbers I gave last time were apparently wrong. It did seem weird to call a bust / band size difference of 10 cm an AA cup, but I just rolled with it without double checking for some reason. If I'm correct now, a difference of 0~2 cm would be an AAA cup, 2~4 cm is an AA cup, 4~6 is A, 6~8 is B and so on. And if I'm not, that's what I'll be using anyway since it makes sense to me! I also said I'd use a special BEW cup system, but that was because of the weird numbers the formula I had were giving me. It turns out using normal cup sizes will work just fine, I'll just use ZA, ZB etc after reaching Z. Perfect! That's a great thing figured out! ^^
