These Power Blocks are essential for powering your base. By utilizing EARN Service Trains for construction, they can always be expanded when needed.
Boilers are your initial solution for base power needs.
Features:
Works with both coal and wood trains, prioritizing wood over coal.
Enable wood processing via the constant combinators to receive wood trains.
Performs better under full load when smart accumulator control is disabled.
Net Power Output: 475.2 MW
Components: 528 Boilers
The Solar Block comes in two versions: one with a built-in Solar Service Station and one without. When connected via roboports, the initial block supports the construction of additional adjacent solar blocks. Accumulators are included to handle the day/night cycle on Nauvis.
Features:
Use a single Solar Service Block to build multiple Solar Blocks.
Place the Service Block first, then connect additional blocks using the Network Connector.
You can overlay 4-lane tracks over these blocks using super-force placing; some solar panels and accumulators will be removed, but functionality will remain intact.
Power Outputs:
Solar Block with Service Station:
Net Power Output: 145 MW
Components: 2,432 Solar Panels & 2,078 Accumulators
Ratio: 0.8536
Solar Block:
Net Power Output: 145.6 MW
Components: 2,440 Solar Panels & 2,112 Accumulators
Ratio: 0.8655
The Nuclear Block uses Uranium Fuel Cells to power its 16 Nuclear Reactors. Water should be provided by a pipe of a fluid train.
Features:
Use the Reactor Refuel Train from Service Hub → Trains with the Refuel Station. Ensure the Reactor Refuel Add-on from Service Hub → Add-ons is placed on a Service Hub.
Power Output:
Stable Power Output: 2.4 GW
Peak Power Output: 2.584 GW
Components: 240 Heat Exchangers & 444 Steam Turbines
Efficiency: 375%
Work in Progress – Coming Soon
v21.0.6 (November 30, 2024)
Boiler Block
Removed infinite pipe.
Added a display panel for water input.
Solar Block
Added a skeleton blueprint that only includes the entities that needs to be manually built. Solar service train will handle the rest.
Fission Reactor
Fixed the missing wire at fuel station unloading.
Removed unnecessary roboports and power poles
v21.0.5 (November 29, 2024)
Fission Reactor
Added parameterization for target temperature and number of buffer fuels.
Removed unnecessary constant combinator
