Power Blocks are essential for powering a megabase, utilizing EARN Service Trains for construction. The blueprints provided are compatible with EARN 3.1.
Boilers are your initial solution for base power needs. This layout supports either wood or coal as fuel.
Power Output: 216 MW with 240 Steam Engines.
The Solar Block comes in two versions, one with a built-in solar service station. This initial block supports the construction of additional adjacent solar blocks when connected via roboports. Accumulators are included to handle the day/night cycle on Nauvis.
Power Output:
Solar Block with Service Station: 62.34 MW with 1,039 Solar Panels (Ratio: 0.8402).
Solar Block: 63.36 MW with 1,056 Solar Panels (Ratio: 0.8447).
The Nuclear Block uses Uranium Fuel Cells to power its 8 Nuclear Reactors. Offshore Pumps are integrated within the blueprint to minimize pipe usage. Consequently, this blueprint must be built on water or with a mod that modifies Offshore Pumps.
Power Output: 1.12 GW Continuous with a 1.647 GW Temporary Peak
Due to the extensive landfill requirements and the inability to place entities directly on water in Factorio 1.1, this block has three stages:
First Stage: Minimum landfill to set up the service station and tracks. After completion, subsequent stages can be built via Service Train.
Second Stage: Complete landfill layout.
Final Stage: Full nuclear reactor layout.
v3.1.4 ( August 15, 2024 )
Removed misconnected wire on Nuclear Block that causes service trains to wait 120s instead of 30s
v3.1.3 ( August 5, 2024 )
Removed orphan underground pipes from Boiler Block
v3.1.2 ( July 28, 2024 )
Became a Separate Book.
Fixed missing logistics robot signal on the service station chest
