Devlog #065: More things to do

It's been a while since one of these!

I've been super busy since the demo release, between setting up the Discord server, advertising, boring administrative stuff, bug fixing...

I still found some time to think about the game's world and story. The world is ready, and the main story beats are almost all figured out. What little is left will probably just pop in my head at some point, and so it's time for some more coding! Here is a new todo list:

- Improve normal fights

- Improve shape fights

- Implement unique spells

- Implement equipable fire pattern

- Implement party skills

- Implement fight effects

- Implement KO state

- Improve result screen

- Implement the "my turn" mechanic

- Improve map

- Improve almanach

- Improve exploration

- Implement gallery

- Other fixes and improvements

I may add more in the future, but this is what I'll focus on for now. I'll describe what has been done in more details once it's actually done! After this list, it will mostly be about adding content (new areas, story, monstergirls, shapes, etc...)

Anyway, that's it for now :D

Usually Nosebecc gives a devlog like this about once a month. He's pretty consistent. :)

It's always great to hear about what's up, and I hope you're always able to keep us in touch a lil' bit. I think that a lot of things devs don't think of as being worth mentioning are things we would all actually find pretty interesting, like if you went on a wild goose chase after a small bug all day today, or even something like "fun fact, I'm storing this type of data during this process in a multimap instead of a multiset because blah blah blah." Heck, each time you mention "boring administrative stuff" I actually get curious about what that means exactly. I think that kind of communication is also very practical, as it helps keep us dumbass, impatient consumers who don't know anything about how these things work from letting our minds wander off into unflattering assumptions during periods of silence. Basically, it's up to you what you tell us about ongoing development, and when, but please don't feel like you have to have big news or something you think is super cool to share in order to let us know how things are going. :)

The gallery will be its own menu. I did forget to list it though, thank you!

Does "Improve almanach" include adding the gallery? Or is that slated for a future improvement?
