Important update, plus future 3D model plans
Added 2022-01-11 11:12:41 +0000 UTCI feel like some exposition is in order for this one.
Back in 2020 my mom got in a car accident that broke her back and several tendons in her left shoulder and with a severe concussion. This essentially left her utterly crippled and unable to take care of herself. I moved back home to help rehabilitate her.
My mom recovered to about 80% of her previous standard, it took until late 2021 for her to get to that point between doctors visits and various specialists to help her deal with post-concussion syndrome. She's doing much better and significantly less addled now physically and mentally. However, she's now decided she wants to start a new life in Florida with her new boyfriend and she's attempting to leave ASAP and sell this house. Barring my concern for my mom's wellbeing so far away, this has forced me to go apartment hunting as of late.
I've restructured my goals on my patreon to specifically help kill rent costs so that it'll help me save money to eventually buy a house with my boyfriend. The less financial stress I'm under, the more I can focus on creating art. For all of you who've been with me this far, I thank you deeply; due to covid it caused my architectural firm to shut down. Thus far I've been making it by with commissions and my patreon support. Truth be told, I'm *very* scared to reenter the traditional workplace, and if I can help it I won't be doing that any time soon. I am diabetic and have asthma, and even though I have both booster shots I'm horrified that if I catch covid it could be certain death for me. You guys are literally helping me stay around.
If I can hit 800 USD a month that's nearly half rent in most places in Illinois. And I won't need to do as much commission work to survive. I'll be able to focus more on 3D art. (Which I have still been practicing Blender, I just haven't posted anything I think is note worthy on my patreon.) And once we're at that point I might even try rigging models for VR too.
So, that's the gist of things currently. If anyone has any thoughts or concerns, don't be shy. I'm trying to still pump out content for you guys as often as I can manage.
