Wait! We get long hair too? Funny story: She cut her hair in-game to catfish gamers during the promotional period. The devs and Square Enix wanted to include her in the trailer but didn't want to spoil the 2nd half of the game. Hence, she looks like 2B after an extended period of combat. Obviously, there are other connections, but we're only talking about hair here.
