Progress Update

I wanted to let everyone know how things are going; it's been a busy couple of months.

The main thing on my mind is of course Morningstar. Day 101 is being written right now; it's hopefully going out to the Development branch tomorrow.

I spent some time over the weekend doing achievements; the goal is to get the achievement build out tomorrow, along with day 101. Morningstar's right now got 42 achievements, through some of them can't be completed yet (finishing the various paths, for example).


I also decided to add a new minigame, where you hit the shooting range, and get paid for doing well.


With 101 done, I've got 12 days left (the story ends on day 113). Of those, three are written, and two are rendered. That leaves 10 days left, but several of them are hefty days that'll require a lot of time to get right.

 
I also added the first replayable sex scene to the game, curtesy of Lin.


While messing around with Lin I got inspired, and finally managed to talk Katja into sexy-times.

So. What’s left?

The main story, first of all. I’ve got 12 days to go, with 2 of them already written and rendered, and a third written and partially rendered. Once those are done I’ve got an epilogue to do for each of the 4 branches: Path of Light (Emily), Path of Fire (Katie), Path of Submission (Lin) and Path of Shadows (alone). I also need a final joint epilogue that plays at the very end. 

I also need to close off the various side-stories. Snowdrop’s questline ends based on the calendar (the two days that are written and rendered are for her questline). I also need to write the final elements in the questlines for Lin, Saoe, Gabby and Katja.

Finally the Maze needs a bit more work, more enemies to fight, another (harder) maze level for experienced players, and lots of testing and balancing.

I had at one point hoped to launch end of September, but that’s not going to happen; the goal now is late October/Early November. As always, thanks for the support, and let me know if you’d like a Steam Key so you can play along as I make the game.
