Hi Droid, I’m a new Patreon subscriber really enjoyed Love of magic 1 and 2 on steam. Is there a way to get a key or however to test book 3 and your new game Morningstar? Really loving your content!

Sadly there's not really a compressed version; I know Renpy devs sometimes offer that, but it's not a thing in unity. Under the hood what it'd do is re-compress all the images as WebP and videos as WebM; depending on compression you could get a lot smaller; unfortunately Unity stores images as HW encoded files by default (DDS/DXTC), which decompress faster, but tend to be bigger than WebP. Having said that, I do offer Steam keys to patreons; the initial download's the same size, but it means updates are much smaller.

In general only spark wielders (Healers, Enchanters, Evokers) can become Powers; it's caused by their inner spark exceeding the bounds of their flesh; which is where you get the glowing eyes from. Katie and Emily are already Powers; Dylan never will (healers rarely do, though it's likely that Xochi is). The Chosen are all spark-less, but you do see them drawing energy from you at various times, and then their eyes glow if they exceed the bounds of their flesh. In terms of capacity, Akane has the least, followed by Molly, and finally Bella, who you only see draw enough for her eyes to glow once. The foxes aren't human, and so sit in a totally different power hierarchy.

Added download links for 1.3.3 of Book 1 (with added videos). Note that Android hasn't been updated (the extra videos overflow the 2GB max APK size). I'll be looking at a solution for that once book 3 is done, and see if I can get a solution that works across all three books for android.

I just hope you don‘t turn book 3 into a standard alternate timeline story, as those often come with the risk of leaving the player distanced from the plot because it feels like the actions taken by the player character don‘t have any bearing on the „original/real“ timeline.
