As always it's super useful if you Wishlist it, since it makes a huge difference to the launch.
Book 1's Beta Branch will continue to receive all updates to Book 2, and all Patreons that want one will be getting a Steam Key for Book 2. The main thing about doing it like this is that I avoid the clumsy 'launcher' that it's currently using, I remove confusion for players that wanted only a complete game experience, and I get to do more Achievements and Collectibles! :)
As a side-bonus, it does mean I get a second 'launch' window, which hopefully means more people get a chance to see the game. The launch of Book 1 caused around 1 million 'impressions' (so it was shown to people browsing Steam 1M times) over a 14 day timeline; I'd love for the same to happen to Book 2. The Wishlists are the most important tool for helping raise awareness for this; Steam uses the number of Wishlists a product has to judge if it's a real game or a dodgy asset-flip. For Love of Magic I had 6k wishlists; we'll see if we can beat that this time!
