What an episode, probably my favourite of the 11 so far. In many respects, this episode could serve as a showcase for the many strengths of this series as a whole in my opinion. The quality of the storytelling which is woven through every aspect of the episode is top tier. The scene in that park, on that slide, between Kurisu and Okarin is one of my favourites of the whole show. In general, whenever we get a chance to watch a scene one-on-one between any two of the cast in this show, the result is an absolutely lovely scene, and they do so much to bring us in to the lives of these characters.
On top of that, I love the introduction of the Time Leap concept here, it just feels like such a natural evolution of the established time travel mechanic that we've explored so far. It's something that can really harm a time travel narrative, if the time travel rules or mechanics that are established in the show are handled in a way that's inconsistent with the show's internal logic, or rely too much on the viewer's suspension of disbelief in order to expand the possibilities of the things achievable by time travel. However, I think here it's handled excellently, and I have to give props to Steins;Gate for how the time travel mechanics are built up here.
