2025-04-13 23:34:32 +0000 UTCI can throw in my observations in as someone who has been all over the US. It seems very much regional thing, and even then it varies per family. I would say the most common places you might see shoes indoors would be in the south. Places where it might be warmer or more dry specifically. The more north you get, you don't really see it often as people don't want to track mud and snow indoors. Even in the first case scenario, I've really only seen shoes on indoors when it comes to gatherings of friends/family rather than a lifestyle choice.

Something to note about her given name, Kurisu, is that it's phonetically identical to how you'd render the English name "Chris" is Japanese. Hence Christina. In Japanese she's telling Okabe there's "no tina!" And on that note, something these subtitles do differently from most is present Japanese names in the order [Family Name] [Given Name]. So if Death Note's protagonist were to show up here, his name would be written as Yagami Light, or perhaps even Yagami Raito.

2025-04-13 05:50:19 +0000 UTCI've always been confused about the indoor shoes thing. I never read into it, but it almost feels like something I only see in media? I'm from Ontario, Canada. My family is Italian Canadian and I've visited a lot of friends homes over the years from a lot of different cultures, and I don't think I've been to a person's place in Canada where they wear shoes inside. Is this really a thing?
