For me, it was one of the all time great episodes of the show. Just had everything I've come to love about the show.

Tbf at the time, they tried to keep it a secret, but it had already been leaked, so then they decided to pre-empt the leak by revealing it in the trailer for the series. So they didn't deliberately reveal it in advance - they just kind of had to make it a big deal because it was already known. Obviously the ideal situation would have been to keep it a total secret, but that wasn't possible after it had been leaked. So the next best thing was including it as a teaser in the trailer for the series. So, not their fault, they made the best of a bad situation. And even then, despite knowing that Simm was returning, I still had absolutely no clue that Razor was him haha. I still missed that lol. Though one of my friends kind of recognised that it was him from some of the intonation. And also there was a wee bit of Simm's musical theme mixed in there - I kind of wondered whether FILMBuFF would notice it, just as he noticed it in Dark Water. Alas, no - which is no bad thing, of course. It was even more subtly done this time round.

2025-03-23 07:41:30 +0000 UTCUnfortunately the bbc put out a trailer with John Sim in it, so the reveal was spoiled for a lot of people. Don't know what they were thinking of. It was such a great reveal for people to go into blind like yourself.

2025-03-21 22:03:28 +0000 UTCAs for as it aired it was spoiled his return was coming in trailer which you know I have thoughts about it which are not very positive and in classic who the actor was always credited as "Doctor Who" instead of "The Doctor" (I'm pretty sure)
