Honestly, the current arc in the manga is already showing its potential. To be as good or better. IMO. Its dials the complexity up to 100 and I feel like the complexity is an underlying attribute HxH has that many people dont understand thats why they like it.

It would be unsatisfying for some, sure, but it‘s not that it couldn‘t have happen with hxh esp if you watch the last episodes. There are reasons why a lot of people say they will not read the manga cause the anime has such a satisfying ending that it doesn‘t entice them enough to read the manga. Some are even implying they don‘t believe Togashi can reach the heights of CA arc ever again

Cause once the anime started the ca arc wasn‘t over yet in the manga it was in the very final stage. And they prob talked before the beginning of the production how far the anime is gonna go. This whole arc was released during the animes run so many assume this is kinda a farewell arc for the anime and during drawing this arc Togashi maybe even thought to himself simply ending hxh due to health reasons. There were similar issues with YYH though for different reasons and he prob didn’t want to end it the same way. And maybe after thinking about it he decided to actually go through with it with it saying to himself either he finishes hxh the way he wants to or he dies

I just realized that Hisoka was a few feet away from a wish granting being but he has no interest in it at all because he is too busy doing Hisoka things, that's why he is suitable for Illumi to let him in the family secrets.
