Back from my Honeymoon to Iceland! (+ Mod Links)

Hello all,

I'm back from my honeymoon to Iceland and it was fantastic, even though we got stuck for 2 days because of a snowstorm and all roads surrounding us were closed..

The photos above are all made by myself and are showing the following:

Three upper photos:
Strokkur is Icelands most active geyser. It erupts every 5 to 8 minutes. Even though we knew this, it was still quite difficult sometimes to time photos right, even with burst-mode activated.

Skógafoss is one of the many waterfalls in Iceland. It's around 60 meters high and 25 meters wide. We really felt small when we were close to it.

Hverir is a geothermal area with boiling mudpools and steaming fumaroles, like the one on the photo. A fumarole is a vent in the surface of the Earth from which hot volcanic gases and vapors are emitted. The smell is like rotten eggs, but then way worse 🤢.

Lower photos:
Puffins!
Seeing these was one of my main goals. They're by far the most cutest birds I've ever seen. If you ever go to visit Iceland and want to see them too, you definitely need to go to Borgarfjörður Eystri. It's in the east and you will be able to view these birds in a safe way from up-close. Also when it's raining or snowing like it was in our case, as they have a shelter there too with windows you can open. The photo above was made outside though.

There're a lot of seals in Iceland and besides the grey seal, which we haven't seen that many of, the one one the photo, the common seal, could be seen on multiple places and in large numbers too.

The other three photos were made during a whale excursion. First of all, these excursions are very animal friendly (otherwise I wouldn't do them), as the boat stays quite some distance away from the animals. Though because most whales and dolphins are quite curious, you still see them from not that far away too. The big zoom lens on my camera also worked great though.
The one right next to the seal is a minke whale. Even though you only see a small part, the entire whale is like 9 meters long. We saw 8 of them during one excursion. On that same excursion we also saw somewhere around 10 white beaked dolphins, which can be seen on the photo below the seal.
During another whale excursion on which we hoped to see orcas (but we didn't), we did saw 5 sperm whales. Sperm whales are the largest toothed whales, with males around 18 meters and females around 12 meters long. Also in this case you only see a very small part of the animal, but it's still very impressive to witness.

The background is a piece of ice we saw flaoting in a glacial lake near the Vatnajökull Glacier.
That ice really was that blue, it was beautiful!

>>> Iceland-ish Releated Sims 4 Mods! <<<
As you're here for my Sims stuff, I want to mention that if you like to add some mods that look a bit like the above photos to your game, you can choose between my following mods (YouTube links):

It's not really a geyser, as it keeps erupting, but my Water Jet Fountain does look a bit like the geysers in Iceland.

For Waterfalls, take a look at one of the following:
Animated - Small Waterfall
Animated - Batuu - Wide Waterfall
Animated - Wall Light Waterfall

Want to make your own volcanic scenes in the Sims, then use my Volcanic Pack.

I don't have puffins or seals as they've never been part of the sims, but I do have a Dolphins and Whales mod called the Unlocked Buoy + Whales & Dolphind pod vfx

I will soon start making new mods, and if you're curious what it will be, then be sure to join the $3 tier as that's the place I will share it. :)

Amazing! I would love to visit Iceland someday. I got inspired by your pics and am off to download your volcano CC which I had no idea about before. Congratulations and thank you so much for all the time and quality of your creations. :)
