Life Update!

If you've been wondering why I've been extra quiet this last month or so, heres the latest in my life:

If you don't wanna read this all, long story short I'm trying to sort out a mortgage and it sucks~

Long version - most of you know that me, Space and my partner have lived together for a few years now. Unfortunately Space has had to move back home which leaves me and my partner in a home that despite having a good price rent, we can't afford alone. Everyone we know already has a place to live and it's not the kind of rental agreement where we can invite a stranger. We only just signed the renewal contract so we're stuck having to stay here for at least another 4 months.
Now, we've looked at our options and rent prices are not good at the moment. Amazingly getting a mortgage is actually cheaper per month, even if the initial cost is high but hey at least we'd own the place! Lots of stress later and we put an offer down for a tiny place that was within our budget, only to find out it's actually unmortgageable~ 🙃

Our budget sucks basically and due to the time restraints, I can't do some of the things that would increase our mortgage limit and stuff. We can't even use our Lifetime ISAs cause they need to have been open for a year so that's wasted money~
In the end, my partner has paid to close his savings accounts early and we borrowed a chunk from my sister which means we got enough to put an offer on a nice flat, again 1 bedroom but more floor space and less dingy this time 😅 we amazingly got accepted last night!!! But yeah now unless something else goes wrong, next comes the fun legal stuff and moving out and fixing up this place so they give us back part of the deposit hopefully~ and those of you who have ever interacted with me will know how much I struggle with emails and completing stuff 🥲

If you read this far, goddamn you have good patience, but thank you for letting me vent! I am still arting, just been very stressed and tire easily and have constant migraines cause of it so I'm a lot slower than usual~ I'm feeling way better now that we have at least got a less crappy place in the works! The main big stress left is paying the current rent~ Please don't be afraid to message me for updates and stuff though, I will try my best to ensure you get what you're owed ASAP!
