2024-12-18 02:00:58 +0000 UTCi really appreciate you getting to know seventeen on this level. it's great seeing them on their more light-hearted content. but it's even better to see them work so hard to get to where they are now. sometimes we tend to see them only as idols. this Hit The Road series show us their more human side, their dreams, and the effort they continue to make in pursuit of those dreams.

2024-12-17 03:02:38 +0000 UTCevery time i watch that moment of cheol crying my heart actually breaks. he has worked so hard, he really went from being the youngest in his family to being the oldest of 13 boys, having to go between the roles of strict leader and affectionate brother and the whole time, he’d take all the hits on his own back. through all the criticism and negativity they’d get from people he would always choose to protect the team first and no wonder he went through that burnout and really couldn’t cope anymore. it was such a difficult time for him and i’m just glad he really took that time to focus on himself. he wrote kidult during the hiatus too which is about loving the inner child and letting yourself know that it’s okay to have that part of you come alive bc it’s still you🥺 almost like a message to himself but also for the members and carats to feel and it’s helped me so much too when i feel like life’s getting ahead of me!

It was during this time where Kidult was made. He wanted to tell the fandom that it's okay to cry like kids even when we are an adult. He wanted to give us comfort like how he needed it during that time. Kidult was also the challenge he gave for Seungkwan and DK, he wanted them to showcase the vocals that their team had. And whenever I need a good cry, I pull that one out (or Circles!) Best to react to Kidult lyrics then the AAA Live version (i think its AAA?)

2024-12-16 04:16:59 +0000 UTCAnd then it happened again with the Follow tour. Seung Kwan missed the beginning for whatever reason and then S.Coups and Jeong Han had injuries so they missed parts too. I don't know who or how they decided to do Follow Again just a few months later but I'm glad they did. It's really nice when they're all together. Before you get to know them, their numbers seem overwhelming and "how can there possibly be that many members? How can you focus on anyone?" But once you know them, you can genuinely feel a difference when members are missing. It's not that they give bad or subpar performances, it's just different somehow. It makes you appreciate them as a whole group more.

It was that seventeen shooted that ep in a real insane hospital. have to say the production quality for this episode is top notch! It was scared shitless as a viewers, I’m sure if I’m a player in that game I’d shit my pants for real lol

2024-12-16 03:38:27 +0000 UTCAfter years makes me realize how tough this time was for them, Coups was mentally drained and stressed while Jeonghan was physically drained and exhausted, the two eldest members not to mention the leader were on break which definitely made the rest of the tour quite difficult for the rest of the members, on the one hand they had to make quick adjustments and some members had to cover up for their absence and on the other hand the two main 'supporters' needed support this time. To make matters worse some of the members came down with the flu like Jun and Woozi while other members were still injured like Seungkwan and his ankle, Wonwoo was also pretty exhausted and fatigued, Joshua was also suffering from headaches and insomnia while Dino had to go to the hospital for acute enteritis. They had to continue performing despite being worried for the sick members or being exhausted or sick themselves. Nothing was going well health-wise and honestly it is kind of relieving that the rest of the tour was canceled due to corona or else everything would have gotten much worse.

2024-12-16 02:30:50 +0000 UTC- in the clips of seventeen as trainees they were in between the ages of 18-14. - it always makes me so sad that whenever a member is sick or going through something which halts them from being able to be on stage they feel like they have to apologize. i don’t know but it truly makes me so sad. or even them ( like how wonwoo and scoups did ) forcing themselves to go on stage when they are obviously not well bcs they don’t wanna disappoint the fans. - for me i always have this enormous amount of love and respect for any foreign idol and in seventeen’s case joshua, jun, the8 and vernon (tho he did spend most of his life in korea) having to come to an unfamiliar country without your family at such a young age not knowing the language or culture and having to learn it as you train sounds like such a scary experience but they pushed through it and became the idols we know today.

Another thing about this documentary is it confirmed my thoughts about S.Coups as a leader. I always thought he didn't seem like leader (in a typical sense) and then here he actually says he acts like younger brother to the members. But watching another interview of his, I realize he does kinda set the tone of Seventeen.

The use of jumanji animal battle haha I also liked learning what goes into making these concerts happen. It does kinda mess with my perception of time though because it does not feel like enough time to do everything. Only 45 days away and they were still finalizing their set list and costumes?! And oh the hours practicing, when did they sleep?! See, idols/entertainers are just built different (from me) haha

Whatever Seventeen has today they EARNED it and they deserve all the love in the world and some more to come.

2024-12-16 01:20:23 +0000 UTCi might have to make several comments bcs i want to comment as i watch 😭 so sorry in advance lol. - woozi is actually a leader, he’s the leader of the vocal team. remember, each unit has a leader. scoups is the overall leader of seventeen but he is also the hip hop team leader, woozi is the leader of the vocal team and hoshi is the leader of the performance team. as well as dk being the leader of bss. - woozi’s name originates from his real name which is jihoon. it’s short for “our jihoon” which in korean sounds like oori-jihoon so they took the first two syllables of each word to make oo-ji. since in korean woozi’s name is acually said as oo-ji. they don’t pronounce the w and the z sound is more of a j. - svt actually has a significantly large male fanbase as well. so you two would not be the only men if you went to see them ! especially over the last few years they’ve gained so much more traction.

2024-12-16 01:06:23 +0000 UTCI forget how many episodes this is so I hope I'm not being spoilery (about something that came out years ago haha) But one of the things I thought after watching it was that everything really does happen for a reason. Obviously it sucks that they couldn't do the European leg of the tour but everyone was going through so much physically (and mentally), it's good that they had to stop and take some time off. Aside from that, it was nice seeing their bond and how they adapt to unexpected circumstances.
