Wonderful drama with wonderful actors and ost. 💗💗💗 this show and twinkling watermelon are so important to me as someone who would go to any length for my loved ones too. My thoughts on why "Sol COULD NOT save Sun Jae": The time paradox or also called "Grandfather Paradox" Sol could never save Sun Jae, because that is the reason why she traveled back in time, that is why a "third party" was needed to fulfill that task, in this case our dear Tae Seon, who also helped Sol's mother not burn. That is why, despite everything Sol did, she could never save him.

It was kind of the same thing but she kind of quoted the same thing she was drunk and I like how they did that

It’s by the same writer as Queen of Tears which people have recommended but to me CLOY is undefeated as her best work. The couple is the OG Sunjae and Sol (BinJin) due to their onscreen chemistry and subsequent offscreen love and marriage. If you’re in the mood for something else, I recommend Signal which is an oldie but a goodie. It’s a crime, time travel, thriller investigative show with lots of OG actors If we want to test Jeff re the waterworks, I recommend another absolute gem - The Red Sleeve. It’s a sageuk (historical) drama so it would present a new kdrama arena for y’all to explore

It’s been such a joy rewatching it with you all and I almost wish I had paced myself better and not gone through it all so quickly haha. These last few eps especially - I’ve been waiting for the vids like an addict haha as if I haven’t seen this show a few times already. As others have suggested, their Salon Drip 2 interview is a must watch. I’m not one to follow actors off screen but these two are just really something special.

2024-08-18 05:59:52 +0000 UTCkdrama watcher for around 16-17 years now, and lovely runner easily became one of my, if not the top, favorite kdramas of all time. you’re right, it’s not the genre but story that matters at the end of it. lovely runner made us laugh, cry, and feel/fall in love. and gotta give it up for the perfect casting, writing, acting, cinematography and osts! everything worked and flowed so well together. i’m most likely going to rewatch this show (for the millionth time) because i just simply can’t get over it! been in a deep slump since it ended, i just find it so difficult to start any of the current ongoing shows. they’ve really set the level VERY high. thank you for sharing your lovely runner journey with us! can’t wait for the next one! 🫶🏼

2024-08-18 01:32:35 +0000 UTCWhen you guys first announce you were reacting to "Lovely Runner", I commented that it was my absolute favorite kdrama of 2024, but after rewatching it through your reaction, I was super excited whenever I see you uploaded a new episode and watching it like it's my first time, I realize it is MOST DEFINTELY my favorite kdrama of all time. I've seen a lot of kdrama & of course everyone have different preferences/interest but this one is universally special and immediately resonate, and makes anyone feel like wishing they have this type of connection with someone. I think the 2 main lead chemistry is out of this world and that is the epicenter of what made this show thrive, that's what draws you in and it makes their love story so believable. Their hugs , their kisses, their interactions all felt genuine and you're just always rooting for them. Sometimes you're watching the show and you forget that this is not real, or you get delusional and say they definitely in love for real, lol. The way Sun Jae looks at Sol melts my heart, whenever they cry, bro I'm crying and feeling heartbroken too. The actor who plays Sun Jae is so great at portraying different emotions and whenever he's sad, especially teary eyed, it's a wrap. This is my # 1. I can't say enough about this show, I just loved it. 10/10 for me

Kim Hye-yoon(Im Sol) was so widely recognized for her acting skills that the writer of "Lovely Runner" (Sieun Lee) specifically envisioned Kim Hye-yoon as the lead while writing the script. Thanks to "Lovely Runner," she also gained immense popularity. The writer aimed to create a mutual salvation story because Im Sol and SunJae were trying to save each other. So wholesome 😍. As for grandma, I think she closed the loop of time traveling. My theory is more what you guys thought too- she’s a fairy godmother for Sol and Sunjae. Sol is her favorite grandchild and she gave her three or four chances technically to change her sad fate. She is the goat. Btw when grandma pulled Sunjae at the end, Wooseok wasn’t supposed to cry there. But emotions ran high for him there and that crying was included 🥹😍 The writing of the whole series was wonderful. It wasn’t perfect but the parallels and romance were top tier. Business Proposal was my best romcom before but LR took over. BP was more of a cohesive and greatly paced rom com for me. Love the actors there very much. But LR edges out just a little bit more on how they developed the romance. And the script 😍. I love the most is that they gave us Sinjae’s pov a lot. A guy’s pov in falling desperately in love with a girl. Making him the greenest forest out there 🥹😍. They wrote him so well. The proposal is one of the best ones out there- maybe THE best tbh. You got the parallel there - Sunjae looked worried with Sol’s answer. Same thing happened when he first told her he liked her in the past and they got interrupted by a phone call 🥹. Obviously the cherry blossom scene was a cherry on top. But you both jumping out of the couch with mouths open was the best reaction ever 😭😭🤣🤣😍😍!!! I think this series actually surpassed Queen of Tears in popularity. It’s so well loved by Knetz and international fans. I loved that they gave us this longer happy ending coz most kdramas would get the happy ending but it’s usually cut short. Thank God we have this for Sol and Sunjae. Coz the amount of heartaches we got in this series, they deserved a long happy ending 🤣😍- giving it a 10/10 as well. Thank you for your awesome reactions and loving this series.
