The only thing mentioned was that she hoped sunjae would succeed in swimming. They didn’t mention how she died either. I wished they would’ve added those details as well.

That’s why she tried everything so they could be together + that’s why when she saw Sunjae in the restaurant, she was acting like he was her husband cuz she died pretty young, he looks like his dad when he was younger.

I didn’t expect much in the beginning tbh but yeah, no wonder it’s so well loved and popular. As for grandma- let’s just say she’s a key factor in this story. From the beginning, she may be just a transient character but to me, she’s very important. So many theories on her tbh 😍 . But your reactions, especially at the end of this ep, was me as well 🥹. It’s too good

2024-08-10 02:51:00 +0000 UTCI mean you can disagree all you want, i’m just stating from the perspective of the people who thought she was being annoying and what they’ve said of why they found her being annoying. If she went about it in a nicer way, not being so rude about it atleast, it would’ve just had him not try to push more. Imagine someone treating you the way imsol treated sunjae. How would you feel? Especially knowing you may have to work with person or come across them again. Plus, seeing him in the industry they both work in and them not meeting would be unavoidable. So eventually she will have to cope with the fact she’s gonna have to deal with him one way or another. The way she goes about it didn’t have to be so harsh and rude. Like when he asks why, all she had to do is be simple and to the point in a nicer way. All the attitude was unnecessary.

The way it is implied in all his life he never had a serious relationship with anyone it just shows she’s literally the only woman he’ll ever love. Their story is so beautifully written

2024-08-09 21:07:17 +0000 UTCThe ya/ah-ending in names - Sol-ah, Sunjae-ya - (since you have mentioned it) is only used between people who are close. That's why they don't call each other that in this timeline, but Sol uses Sunjae-ya when she's thinking about him :)

Like how she’s constantly cutting him off and just being rude to him without any explanation or legitimate reasoning. I think they are imagining what it would feel like to be in sunjae’s shoes and how someone were treating them like imsol is treating sunjae. Which in turn would upset those viewers and see her as being annoying.

The writer deserves a massive applause - no wonder why this show gained so much global popularity enough for Netflix to regret not selecting it initially and then having to make it an promotional release!

It would make sense with all she keeps doing to make sure imsol meets sunjae in every timeline. Also, that little tidbit where she called sunjae “husband” in the restaurant kinda adds to it.

He has done a lot of OSTs for many kdramas.

2024-08-09 18:38:46 +0000 UTC'who wrote the lines??' literally took the words out of my mouth - i never thought i'd get such profound lines from a drama where their official poster is 2 ppl in high school uniform with an unserious title lol - btw i dont if u guys know this already but the korean title and the eng title is different, 'Lovely Runner' is the official eng title but the actual kr title translates to something like 'piggyback sunjae and run/carry sunjae and run away' if u remember all the way from ep 1, it was sol's fanclub ID & the words that she had on that headband when she met sunjae on the bridge (kinda want u guys to remember this maybe for future references😉 )
