As he died, a new circle started (but I guess only 1 Travel possible) and that’s why she didn’t need to wait for midnight this time.

2024-08-09 03:08:47 +0000 UTCEp 13 was Sol’s last chance to stay in the past. That’s why Sunjae kept wishing for her to stay and not go back to the future. Sol in a way, by trying to change Sunjae’s fate again this time, she caused Sunjae to die earlier than the other timelines. The first time Sol got her “time traveling power” was when Sunjae died the first time in the hotel’s pool. Which was ironic too that he died in Ep 13 falling into the sea. Sol thinks the watch gets activated when Sunjae dies. I think having died earlier than what’s fated for Sunjae gave his watch the time traveling power. She had already used up her watch’s 3 chances. Not sure if you guys missed it but Sol stayed in the timeline where she made sure Sunjae did not meet her. She said in this episode that she lived the seasons and winters acting like nothing happened. Or something like that. Basically she had changed both hers and Sunjae’s fate by not meeting each other. Keeping Sunjae alive and her from being crippled. In a way it was her second chance to relive her life with her legs intact (15 years to present) but with the unfortunate choice of cutting Sunjae out of her life. To keep him safe. Her ultimate goal. 2024-08-08 22:59:54 +0000 UTCI just imagine being imsol having to go back in time the 3rd time to make it to how they just never met. Because i think that’s how sunjae felt when he saw imsol in the first timeline when sol was in the wheelchair stuck on the bridge. He remembered her, but she didn’t remember him. It hurt him that she completely didn’t remember their first meeting and when he saved her. As those were special moments of memories for him. Throughout the series, you can see how sol realizes how many things she missed when sunjae was there with his onesided crush on her the whole time. And now it’s reversed where she has all these special memories she shared with sunjae, but sunjae in this new timeline doesn’t remember imsol. So now sol has to live knowing sunjae being alive and well with not knowing who she is. Which will be a struggle for her in this timeline as it was for sunjae in the original timeline. But i think the difference is that sunjae wanted to still be with sol in the original timeline but wanted to respect her wishes when she was screaming at him to leave her alone in the hospital. And in this 3rd timeline sol purposely made it to where they couldn’t be together to protect him.

She basically sacrificed their memories together cause she realized him loving her only led to his death so she’s the only one in this timeline who remembers the love they had, that’s why Taseung was confused when she cried & said Sunjae’s name

2024-08-08 19:59:34 +0000 UTCso when Sun Jae got stabbed and fell in the water, he actually really died but earlier than expected from the OG timeline. As Sol was crying over his body being carried out, she realized that she can go back one more time with his watch, which she did and then the iconic scene where SunJae fell in love with Sol in the rain with the umbrella, package and all - she went back to that specific time and instead of grabbing the package and meeting him there, she backed away and stayed hidden so they would’ve never met. For Sol, if they had never met at that original place and time (where SunJae fell in love with her) he would be forever safe after. So, in time, the place where SunJae caught her by the stairs at the end - he doesn’t know who she is and they’ve never met before.
