2024-05-05 21:58:39 +0000 UTCIn the beginning of the episode (the flashback), when the FL tells the ML about the robber incident... he decides to stay outside the store until the lights turn on (basically guarding the store). That's why the FL falls for him. Even though he says mean comments, his actions says otherwise. Lastly, (the flashback kiss scene) the FL was drunk therefore she doesn't really take his comments "seriously".

You're right that his actions early on would be a red flag to most people, myself included, but they did establish that detective cha had reasons. It was just pretty subtle When she was on the phone with Fake Mom she hinted that Detective Cha's dad was a bad guy. So there is you're daddy issues. Plus its not unreasonable for someone to be half delusional when they fall for a handsome guy. She saw some real signs that he liked her (when he half smiled at her in the rain and when she saw him protecting the shop until the power came back on), they also mentioned in that fight before they kissed in the past that she heard he had asked other people in town about her and where she was; which obviously is a sign he cares where she is. It's only a little bit of a sign, all those, and he immediately shuts her down when confronted directly but with her daddy issues, detective brain picking up these little clues, and being half in love with him.... I just think it does make sense.

So i would assume she would play the role convincing as though she is actually that type of detective. I see many actors and actresses play first responders all the time who are not actually first responders in real life and they can convincingly play them to a T of what would happen in real life. Realistically, a detective, especially like the one she is playing, wouldn’t react that way even if it’s their loved one in that situation. They would still stay calm and do their job as a first responder.

So for him to wait until the lights came back on and she felt safe was very sweet of him and him naturally doing that for her And remember the young girl in the flashbacks who we find out is the one who gave him that key ring is his sister y’all so no he did not like his sister 😆

I thought all first responders had to know CPR.😭😮💨😂 You check for a response by tapping their shoulders and calling for their attention. If they don’t respond, you check their pulse. if they have no pulse and aren’t breathing, you start chest compressions and then 2 breaths until help arrives while also checking for a pulse and breathing. If they do have a pulse, but not breathing, then you just give breaths until helps arrives. If they do have a pulse and are breathing, you just monitor their level of consciousness by checking their pulse and breathing until help arrives.
