Ep2 Vigilante

He isn’t doing it because of his mum, he’s traumatised by what happened to his mum & how the law seemed to do very little to punish the actual criminal. If anything he knows now that the journalists are onto what he is doing so he’s using that to his advantage. To highlight the flaws in the law so maybe if there is public outrage the law might change. So there won’t be anymore victims like him. He kills the ones that aren’t sorry for what they’ve done. Also the guy at the end is a cop, he’s taking over the case & wants to catch the vigilante because essentially he’s a criminal.

I can’t put him in the category of general murderers/serial killers because he’s not doing this for satisfaction or his own gain, but it appears to be anger at the people who are getting free from the justice system after committing horrific crimes. he’s doing bad in a good way(?)

2024-05-19 18:49:45 +0000 UTCYeah I totally think he’s moved passed the death of his mom as a reason. I believe he’s doing this like you said — he was a victim to the justice system and he’s trying to punish people who are getting off free from hurting the innocent.

2024-04-15 04:51:05 +0000 UTCInteresting fact too: The two kids in this ep are actual siblings in real life. Both of them have done acting separately in many other dramas as well. Their names are Ki Eun Yoo and Ki So Yu.

2024-04-10 06:45:55 +0000 UTCWhat’s interesting about this show is that it gives a glimpse into how the law these days and even in the past has continually shown that it doesn’t really protect the victims and doesn’t punish the criminals equally to the crimes they commit. And that it also shows the irony of every entity in justice system trying punish a person who does the very thing every position in the justice system is suppose to do anyways. And then we have where people can take it too far on either end of the spectrum. Like people who engage in vigilantism to the extreme will have to be stopped by the law to prevent even falsely accused individuals from suffering at the hands of extreme vigilantes. But at the same time people don’t mind vigilantism when the law doesn’t do anything to protect the public from criminals. So the question is, who is more of a criminal in this scenario: Those in the justice system letting crime continue by letting the actual criminals off easily to freely commit more crimes and create more potential victims? Or the vigilante committing crimes according to what is written in the law books to get actual justice for the victims by also punishing the criminals?

2024-04-09 01:40:01 +0000 UTCThe thing is he doesn’t at all seem to be doing this because of his mom(the death of his mom death definitely lead to this )but because he is a victim of the law not properly doing its job and punishing criminals. I mean the man who killed his mother got THREE YEARS THREE because he said he was sorry and that he was what? Drunk or something like that. So he seems to be doing this so that criminals actually get punished for their wrong doings. So it’s more like the death of his mom lead him to realize how fucked up the law is, so he feels he has to take things into his own hands. Whether or not people agree with him is really up to them.

2024-04-09 01:16:26 +0000 UTChe knows this isn’t gonna bring his mom back😂 he’s a victim of the law not properly punishing the criminal now he’s taking it upon himself to “properly punish” them since the own law he’s under won’t do it. what I found interesting that u guys have yet to bring up is him not wearing a mask, leaving his face revealed. Like before I realized he ends up killing them any way I was like my dude cover ur face 😂now we all know there is never a reason to take anyone's life but the only reason I can overlook his murderous ways/view him less as a criminal/serial killer himself compared to the criminals he goes after and kills is because unlike the criminals he goes after who’s just out there killing random people for no reason, He has a more logical/understanding reason behind him being a murderer himself….and that is proper justice. he goes after those who just go out killing/ harming people, then gets away with it, to then still get out and continue harming people and bloat about getting away with their crimes, blaming the victim, ect.hes still a killer as well but again he has a more logical reasoning that is understandable
