I know I’m late to the conversation but Aang was not flying. He was airbending. There is a difference. He was propelling himself from spire to spire *with air* and continually falling until he got traction on something else. Zaheer flew with *no* bending. Aang was gliding *and* constantly descending til he reaches another spire to airbend off of… is airbending. Zaheers flying is unassisted flight. No bending involved. Aang was clearly shown to be airbending and that he was incapable of flight during this show… Was he extra with it? Absolutely. But sooo many people got this wrong.

2024-02-25 16:11:42 +0000 UTCRight. And he was going continuously down (essentially controlling a fall) which is completely different from flying horizontally. I’m really enjoying it so far (loved the animated series) and I hope animated series purists don’t nitpick it to death.

I was also so obsessed with avatar growing up. idk why but in the live action, fire seems like such a crazy thing like people being burnt alive. I didn’t realize how hurtful fire bending was in the animation but DAMNNNNNN.
