2023-09-09 13:44:22 +0000 UTCA nuance about the funeral scene, the older man who recognised Kim in su (the man who passed away) is someone who is very high ranking / positioned in the company mr in su used to work in. You can tell as all the company workers stood up when he entered the room and then they all paid respects to in su after he did. Also, it is implied mr kim in su found out he had pancreatic cancer the day he got into that car accident. Which is why the nurse said he needs to speak to the doctor before leaving the hospital. And so on top of the dismissal from work, he decides that it’s time to fulfil his wife’s final wish, which is to leave the world together

The prior deaths have been sudden deaths that we gather their story and provide closure for those left behind but this one was the opposite. It's a couple without any family or friends and no job that would leave anything pending. They resolved their issues in living and left content so it's really just cleaning their things gathering their personal items and giving their final goodbye. Its simple but yet sad, the way I saw it is the man had a good job but then retired and in old age his wife got sick and to pay for medical bills he had to get a job and with his age its limited what jobs he could get so he ended up as a janitor. His wife's wish was to die a day before her husband because it would be too painful to lose him and he probably thought the same and since he was already dying with cancer and lost his job they decided to go together.

I think this episode was sad because it was heartbreaking to see the elderly couple leave the world that wasn't too kind to them but still leave happy. Like it wasn't an easy decision for the both of them. IDK, every time the grandpa smiled and spoke, my heart crumbled a little.

The one that got charged for hitting her husband in the head. The couple that Youngwoo and her dad lived with. -The social worker is a kpop idol from the group Girls Generation.
