I feel like they are stricter on women because you see male idols doing hip thrusts and singing about things that are most definitely sexual, but when it comes to girl idols, they get hated on. For example, Hwasa got a lot of hate for not wearing a bra to the airport, while male idols are ripping their shirts off on stage and thrusting in the air. I think it has to do with the gender roles in Korea. I feel like more female singers are becoming more open with their sexuality. I know of Bibi, Jessie, Hwasa, and DeVita. Also, most "mainstream" artists or K-pop idols rather than KR&B and K-hip-hop won't be as explicit as Bibi and DeVita, who are less widely known than Hwasa and Jessie. Another factor is the labels they are signed to and their broadcastability. Songs will be banned from playing and showing on Korean broadcasting channels. They are very strict on what can be publicized, I'm pretty sure for a while, female idols weren't even allowed to show their belly buttons.

2023-08-31 21:20:24 +0000 UTCif you guys enjoyed this i think you should delve deeper into krnb and khiphop (even if it's in your spare time), there are a bunch of killing verses that different artists have done. some of my personal faves and recommendations would be G.Soul (aka Golden), colde, hoody, penomeco, b.i, bobby, simon dominic and changmo. There are also a bunch of well known krnb/khiphop artists that haven't done killing verses like dean, crush, sumin, tabber & dpr live that I would also recommend :)

That's just comparing to those that are in a group. That's why you see Jessi and Bibi more free to express themselves and no one bats an eye. Love the reaction like always!! Please react to Hyuna she might not be as raw in lyrics like Bibi, but her performance and imagery is crazy!

You guys should reaction to cigarette and condoms by her and Jotto, which is one of her songs in her recent album!
