Early Access - Doctor Who | 10x6 "Extremis" - Reaction & Review

We're back! Fantastic episode to be back with as well.

Would love to gauge how many active Doctor Who Patrons there are at this moment. I don't expect many at this moment, but good to have an idea.

If you're around, would love to hear from you in the comments :)

When I was younger and watched this while it was airing I did not like it as much mostly because it just confused me be as I grew this episode and the 12th doctor as a whole has grown to be so much more enjoyable

I was so disappointed when I was going through Series 10 last year that you left off right before this banger of an episode, so I'm glad to be back supporting you (and seeing your thoughts on the finale of the Capaldi era!)

here for doctor who among other things, super excited to see you finish off capaldi

There's an interesting question at the core here: even if you discovered you were in a simulation, would it really matter? I mean, I can see why everyone killed themselves upon finding out, but if you're a conscious being with life and memories, and it turns out you're just part of a simulation - well, kinda, so what? You'd be exactly the same in a non-simulation. So long as you're a sentient, feeling, thinking, conscious being, does it really matter whether or not you're in a simulation? I'm not entirely sure it does. But I can also see why it would be a horrific realisation leading to (mass) suicide. To put it another way: you and me and everyone we know and everyone who's a Patreon or a commenter or a YouTube subscriber have a life, have feelings - would it mean everything is pointless and hopeless and thus you might as well kill yourself if you found out this is all a simulation? Or is it 'real', regardless? What even is 'real', if it's not conscious being? Unless alien zombie monks are behind it all, of course ;) The beauty of Doctor Who - prompting these sort of mad philosophical reflections on life, the universe, and everything.

So glad we're back, can't tell you how long I've been waiting for the return of Who, the completion of Capaldi :)

Only ever watched the first episode of Doctor Who didn‘t intrigue me enough to commit on such a long series. Will prob get back to it at some point but not now. Hope you enjoy the comeback. Will you watch Severance after you finished the DW era on the channel or first House of the Dragon?

Also a massive Capaldi-fan here :)

would 100% recommend finished off capaldi. well worth ur time man

Cyonated

just finished the full length and yeah this episode is seriously impressive, I think s10 is my favourite capaldi season in terms of consistency, the other series definitely had better episodes but they'd always be broken up by something a bit slower and less engaging, this series is just so close to perfection

Louis

bought back my membership because I was wondering if you would get back to who soon and looks like I was right in time lmao

Louis

Definitely a massive Who fan, and agreed that this is a hell of an episode to come back to. While I'm sad there's only 7 episodes left (of both Capaldi and your coverage of Who,) I'm going to savour every one of them.

Tortoise Of Legends

Good to be back!

I'm a HxH and Who fan, unfortunately, you've passed where I dropped off Who but I'm glad it's back for for those who have seen it
