And then the narrator explains something important that let's us know that MOST PROBABLY he isn't anyone we know, he says "Gon and Gyro never met... If this is a good thing or a bad thing it's unknown, until the day they will met".

I'm not sure if there's any confirmation anywhere but I do believe it fits his profile nicely, especially if you think about how Meleoron was talking about staying out of everyone's sight and not having any presence while talking with Gon next to the campfire.

2024-09-28 08:55:58 +0000 UTCNow I'll say this very carefully since its a very common frustrating talking point...but the anime egregiously omitted a very crucial piece of information that should've been included from the manga regarding Gyro's backstory in episode 80 and that's why something feels amiss with his character...only "spoilers" can clear your doubts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯at least from your perspective or just keep watching and forget about it. Not trying to be rude but it can be very distracting and take away from this arc. Cheers.
