2022-12-08 08:21:38 +0000 UTCI think you guys would REALLY enjoy "Vincenzo"! It's a PERFECT combination of Action&Comedy&Drama. Believe me, it's really good! Or "Descendants of the sun," It's a bit older than Vincezo but they have the same guy as the main male character and the drama is good!

2022-12-07 17:10:55 +0000 UTCI completely agree that he was at a breaking point but we have to acknowledge what actually happened vs. how Bumseok perceives what happened. Like you said he feels left out, ordered around, looked down on. But these aren’t actually things that happened. These are things he expects based off of his trauma. He doesn’t know how to value a good friendship. He weighs how much sooho care’s about him based off of instagram and not what Sooho has done for him and the time they’ve spent together. Never base how close someone is to you on social media or wether they follow you or not, it truly means nothing. True relationships and friendships have existed much longer than social media or phones have. The bullies give him attention, praise him for spending money on them and follow him on sns, all the things he wanted. Wether he realizes it or not what he seeks is validation and not real friendship. I think that’s made pretty clear in the coming episodes.

2022-12-07 12:08:43 +0000 UTCBumseok definitely was looking for friendship, he just couldn't digest how he was always in the background of every conversation, meet up, perhaps he hoped they'd put in more of an effort to include him, which they obviously didn't have to. he's at a breaking point because of everything he's been dealing with and Sooho restraining him from attacking the bullies just pushed him over the edge. It wasn't just about him not following him back (which is still weird to me, if i am hanging out with a friend and following their account while they don't follow me back, I would kinda assume they don't think of me as a close friend?) his behavior does seem to stem from his trauma, he probably assumes everyone hates him and the lack of outward/superficial gestures made him second guess his friendship.

2022-12-07 03:29:39 +0000 UTCFollowing someone on social media is meaningless. Sooho was a true friend to Bumseok. He cares about his feelings, stood up for him and tried to give him a voice. These aren’t things bumseok knows how to appreciate or be grateful for (most likely due to trauma). Bumseok isn’t looking for friendship, what he wants is validation.

2022-12-06 17:42:26 +0000 UTCIn Bum's situation, he is starting to feel "used" by the others. Soo hoo is his friend but he never followed him on insta, he followed the other girl immediately. He feels left out and not important and just a side character to the duo, and he gets frustrated on top of that getting bet by his dad. I feel bad for Bum he just wants friends that appreciate him but I don't think he knows how to convey his feelings well.

2022-12-06 02:37:18 +0000 UTCIt is not about a crush, it's about influence. Bum wants followers, he wants to be seen as more than just a sidekick alongside Si Eun and Soo Hoo. He wishes to feel like "someone," and not overlooked. He's forgotten everywhere, from school to home life. He looks down at him, tells him how worthless he is, then goes to school and is further unseen. Bum attached himself to these two boys. He first tried to connect himself to Si Eun when he sees that he could handle himself and was gaining respect for beating ass. He was apologizing and finding out what cram school he attended hoping to become friends. When that doesn't work out how he hopes. He then sees Si Eun in a vulnerable situation and called for help from Soo Hoo, ultimately bonding the three together. Notice he always offers to pay. Always trying to treat them to something, because without the money, without being used in some way, he feels worthless. People always made him feel like he has to give them something in order to be tolerated/liked. But both boys keep letting him know he doesn't need to do that, but he isn't hearing it. Therefore, Bum puts in all his "effort" of giving, he's thinking it should secure this friendship and a follow on social media to solidify his standing in Soo Hoo's view of him. Then you throw in this girl that's been around all of 5 minutes to him, already getting a follow back from Soo Hoo. He sees how they are already so comfortable around her, enough for her to be a thought when it comes to plans. With everything going on at home and with his past resurfacing on top of it all, he reaches a mental breaking point.

2022-12-06 01:25:25 +0000 UTCI think enough people gave some type of explanation in the comments, I personally enjoy a lot more this version. In the webtoon, they didn't spend much time explaining Si Eun background, only a little. Here, it's like the prequel of the webtoon where they give a background to Si Eun and explain why he is the way he is for the next season. In the webtoon, Bum Seok is just jealous of Soo Ho, he is basically an asshole with no real motivation other than selfishness, ego and power. Worth noting too that in the webtoon, Soo Ho doesn't know how to fight, which explain later ... issues. I really enjoy the fact that they gave Bum Seok a more relatable background and motivations, he is much more complex in this series, same as Soo Ho, they made him here a fighter. I have to say, the end is something, but it's just the beginning of a much more exciting story and characters, you'll see.

2022-12-05 22:33:27 +0000 UTCreading this made me understand the ending to the series more. Thanks for the explanation

2022-12-05 21:22:08 +0000 UTCSoo ho I feel like is jus being a good friend , I don’t think he was trynna “tell him what to do” I think he was more looking out for him cause they did go there ONLY to make the old bully apologize . And the whole Instagram thing , I don’t think bumseok should’ve took that to heart . Cause the girl is very out there so she probably had no shame in telling soo ho to follow her back (which bumseok didn’t) . Then you have to keep in mind she’s also staying with him so of course they’re gonna spend more time together . So idk I think bumseok is just being super sensitive abt it cause these are his first group of friends .

2022-12-05 21:15:47 +0000 UTCBeom Seok is the opposite of Si Eun. If Si Eun was weak minded & selfish he would be Beom Seok. I say this because unlike Beom Seok, Si Eun has never been passive when it came to bullies where as Beom Seok never stood up for himself. Si Eun has a sense of self worth in that regard. Beom Seok knows he should be treated better but he has never stood up for himself. Beom Seok sees Soo Ho as the person he wants to be. Soo Ho is nice, confident, friendly & he isn't someone who bullies go after. Because of what he has been told, Beom Seok is now seeing Soo Ho blunt personality (harsh/direct way of speak) as Soo Ho controlling him or ordering him around. You guys also pointed out that Soo Ho legit talks the same way to Si Eun but again Si Eun isn't someone who views himself as weak so the way Soo Ho speaks doesn't bother him. I feel like Beom Seok is lashing out & he is not giving it much thought with using Soo Ho as the outlet because again Soo Ho is nice. This in my opinion is will be his downfall because he is dismissing the fact that Soo Ho has never been one to let ppl run over him. If he keeps this up he will completely ruin their friendship for good. The mind is what sets apart the differences of Si Eun & Beom Seok. Beom Seok is very shallow in a sense (the fact that he is using IG pics to value their friendship vs the time they actually spent together) it makes me wonder if the only reason he likes Si Eun is because he views Si Eun as weak like himself & not strong like Soo Ho? Because we all know Si Eun isn't the most talkative or expressive for that matter. So why only be after Soo Ho for "bossing you around" when Si Eun also tells him to stop doing stuff or going to far?

2022-12-05 19:54:18 +0000 UTCtbf it was so crazy of soo ho to follow that girl he met that day and get all chummy with her when beom seok was already a friend and yet he never followed him back? and he does come across as kinda arrogant/white knight even though he might not mean it
Ayesha S
2022-12-05 19:07:27 +0000 UTCWait Beom Seok made some points. Soo ho does tell Beom Seok what to do a lot. Also, he's right, why did he stop him? We clearly saw that he knows how to restrain himself when he was kicking old boy why he was down, so yet again Soo ho telling him what he can and can't do. Also let's not forget, Gil Su in the police station put poison in his head when he told him that he shouldn't be hanging out with them because he's too weak and they treat him like a henchmen. So this all makes sense TBH(mixed with the abuse he's dealt with for so long).

2022-12-05 18:49:24 +0000 UTCthis season is basically an intro to their characters and backstories .... 2nd season is where the real story will start...

2022-12-05 18:32:41 +0000 UTCbeom seok has a big crush on suho, and the girl got in the middle of that making him again, question is right to be there friends. he self-sabotage it by saying those things to suho in order to get him upset, and by beom seok’s preconceived notions about any relationship is that they actually hate him. it’s tramua. and i’ve even been through a phase in my life where i did this to people i loved, when in actuality i wanted to be loved more that anyone. beom seok just hasn’t gotta away from his environment, so he’s unable now to see that his anger can be subsided into care, and love for others, even when you never had it reciprocated.

2022-12-05 18:15:48 +0000 UTCHe totally resents his help. You see it in the karaoke room when he grabs the bully to apologize. Yet, he didn’t refuse that help. It’s sad.

2022-12-05 18:15:46 +0000 UTCThe way i see bum seok’s perspective is that he feels left out and conflicted. Like he sees how easily suho connects with others, his confidence but how others take him more seriously because of how strong he is, is cool and admirable. So bum seok probably feels weak and angry from his trauma of bullies and abuse from home while looking at suho. So i’m sure he feels like also weak and angry due to comparing himself to suho. And the way suho comes off when he’s actually being helpful and nice to bum seok, because of his abuse and history of being bullied, he feels suho has this attitude that he can be bossy to him, order him around and control him. Of which bum seok seeing that as suho looking down him like everyone else does.

2022-12-05 18:15:21 +0000 UTCAlso, the “do you want to die” isn’t a literal thing. It’s a common Korean expression. (Tobi’s face at that part cracked me up.)

2022-12-05 18:02:02 +0000 UTCIt becomes more evident that Beom suk really idolizes Suho. He wants to be him, a person who is naturally lovable and strong. But he also hates how he isn't Suho and starts to see his friendliness as Suho looking down on him. It interesting to see how much Bum Seok loves yet hates Suho.

2022-12-05 17:53:05 +0000 UTCAt first I couldn't piece together what exactly beom suk was thinking but I guessed it was more of a platonic jealously instead of an actual romantic one (still not 100% sure). He just felt lonely and like u said his feelings that he held in are catching up to him and he's starting to lash his feelings out in a negative way with his actions but these last 3 eps are really what sets the story off and connects all the characters. I can't wait till u get to the last episode!

2022-12-05 17:47:52 +0000 UTCIn the webtoon, he was selfish, evil and wanted to be popular. Very two dimensional. But in the series, they changed it a bit. Whatevr he is doing and does later on, is due to his own insecurity and over all pent up frusturation and anger from years of abuse (both from his adopted father and bullies). He is a complex individual. I neither hate nor like him.
