2023-10-20 19:51:08 +0000 UTCFor me, I always thought that the "talk of nen" and how its not talked about or spoken of especially in the exam arc is that everyone who uses it just uses it. There's no need to talk about it because they are mostly older people or may have learned about nen so long ago that its no point in talking about it. Its an everyday use type of thing. It would be like going to work and then asking everyone how did you get here, of course you got there somehow but then the new person in the workplace just start asking people, "so have you learned how to travel yet? Yes, I travelled to work today! So I travel using this method!" But to us as viewers learning about Nen is necessary. Not only because we need it for context but also because Gon and Killua are first learning of it as well! I think this part of the show is a very thorough yet overlooked example of how Gon and Killua are simply kids and are learning stuff for the first time in a world amongst adults.
