I'm so mad at the chef....I can't believe he fumbled that date like that! He been cool this whole time...then messed it up in 4th qtr....smh....
Also, I know over here they use a lot of motion/sound lighting...so that's probably the reason for the lights randomly going on and off...looks like they had the motion lighting....but lowkey, I wish they didn't kiss this episode...there was too much going and it didn't feel as special as it could've been....

I'm a new member to your Patreon and love your reactions. You always mention what an amazing actress Park Eun-Bin is and she definitely nailed this role. If no one told you yet, you should check out the King's Affection on Netflix. I think you'll enjoy it!

There was one comment in a Korean forum talking about the kissing scene. When the lights are off, you don't see the one with a disability, only just two people in love. That comment the scene like 10x better.

Watching your reaction today and listening to your takes at the end made me start thinking of the mom a bit differently. The mom never wanted to have a baby in the first place but she decided to carry Young Woo to term and give her to the father to raise. She didn't have to do that, that's actually amazing of her. She could've decided to have an abortion instead. I see her in a totally different light now.
She has no right now to come around now and try to dictate what the father should do. But I can understand why she's scared of this coming out. People aren't going to see the her as a woman who didn't want a baby but carried it to term so the father could raise his daughter. They'll instead view her as a woman who abondoned her child and put her career ahead of everything. She'll be ruined.

I love y’all reactions! I really hope y’all can react to “It’s ok to not be ok” in the future (it’s also on Netflix) if you haven’t seen it already because I feel like y’all would really understand the meaning behind that drama that a lot of other reactors didn’t really get.

So guys I am that nerd who had to look up how jury trials work (probably cos I am a lawyer). So the Korean criminal justice system is a mix of American and German styles. They only started having juries in 2008 as a way of getting the “citizens” to participate in trials and that is only in certain serious cases. In any of these serious cases the defendant has to specifically request that they want a jury. They don’t get it automatically like in the American or UK system. But whatever decision the jury makes it is not binding to the Judge. It is like advice basically. Really serious cases have 9 people and cases like the one in this episode has 7.
Sorry I couldn’t resist the mystery! Long time watcher and I hate posting comments but I love your guys’ reactions. 💜

Love it. SO much happened this episode. Can't wait for you guys to finish the season. Definitely team Dad. The mom came in high and mighty saying he needed to disappear and didn't honor it. He did. He stopped his law career and disappeared from her life. Their daughter has no part in that "deal". Woo has the right to pursue her own career and life. ALSO... the kiss!!! Couldn't stop smiling. AND please, please film if you guys watch an interview with the actors/actresses. Woo's actress is so different in real life and makes you realize what an amazing job she did with this series.

Oh, even in the US a judge can throw out the verdict of a jury. It doesn't happen often but we do have that here. OR maybe when it is a split decision, the judge has the final say.

Wow, I love how they showed that love is complicated for a "normal" woman, a woman who is high functioning, and a woman who is an adult in years, but emotionally a teen. Oh, does this bet cancel out the push ups or do you both have to so push ups?

I was the one who told them about the English CC subs back when they were watching Sweet Home...they asked questions about certain songs and missed some important details because the normal subs didn't show it. I compared the two and the normal subs were very vague/loose in their translation, but English CC gave more understanding. I also noticed that at the end of each episode, a person is credited for the translation. I haven't watched EAW yet, but I'm sure the writing is 10x better than Sweet Home...so perhaps the normal subs are cool. I guess it's just a preference of how much you want to see on the screen. My subs are also smaller so they don't block too much of the view.

i also do NOT understand why young woo’s mom even went over to the dad’s restaurant. like she’s the one that’s gonna get herself caught meeting ppl in the middle of the night. the journalist wouldn’t have taken her photos if she didn’t go over there. i sympathized with her a bit in the episode where she had that talk with young woo & all but this bs she pulled ain’t it all.

i just wanna let y’all know that when u react to kdramas on netflix make sure you use english subs rather than english cc because usually the english cc is what the dubbing would say & not be as accurate. u can tell when it’s english cc because it’ll put sounds in brackets [] like that. just a fair warning 💜 for this show the english cc subbing isn’t bad but for the other shows the subtitles would be COMPLETELY off
