you’ll notice a trend in sk that’s directly linked to bts’ generation “giving up” childbirth. korea is actually a declining population, there’s a disproportionately higher amount of older individuals in korea than there are younger and their birth rate is extremely low and that has everything to do with people not being able to afford or even think about kids due to the state the country has been in since the baby boomers.

i completely forgot to do this so i’m coming back and commenting again😭. namjoons verse in this song is super important. in korea the generation bts are apart of are known as the giving up generation, which means they’ve had to give up certain aspects of what we would consider success because of the trashy economic, work, and housing environment the generation before them left them in. the original term for it was “sampo sedae” (directing translating to three giving up generation) which means they have given up three things, when namjoon says “given up on 3?” he’s talking about dating , marriage, and childbirth and referring back to sampo generation. he then says “giving up on 5?”, the next title for bangtans generation was “opo sedae” (five giving up generation) the next two things millennials in sk gave up were employment and home ownership. finally he says “i like the number 6, how about giving up on 6” which is interpersonal relationships. however, he finishes his verse by saying “can i get a little bit of hope” which refers to the 7th thing millennials have given up, the “chilpo generation” (7 giving up generation) but instead of saying to give that up he encourages people to wake up and fight the system. they’ve added even more since the release of dope to the list of things millennials have given up but i’m not going to draw this out even more😭

thanks! please shoot a reaction video for the solo stage of Jhope, the first and only asian artist, who is the headline of this year's lollapalooza festival in chicago. It was great. 100k people watched in the festival area and has the highest ticket sales in the history of the festival. It was also broadcast live online and was watched by 14 million people .. (This stage consists of his new album released a few months ago and songs from his old mixtape) Here is the full link ; https://youtu.be/6ak5yOmj8W8

the members all do speak japanese and release music originally in japanese and most of their title tracks have japanese versions

brea

Yes BTS has Japanese and chinese versions of original korean songs and they also have original japanese songs. All the members speak Japanese well with J-hope, V & RM being the most natural sounding according to native speakers and they also know Chinese on a variety of levels. So each member know at least 3 languages.
