As a proud American, I’ll have you know I think the parallels between Sulla’s brief rule that damaged the Roman Senate as an institution which paved the way for Caesar are much closer. Of course, this led to nothing of real note. Damn, now I’m remembering the run up to the Russian revolution. Again, nothing of note regarding that. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to drink and possibly have a jazz gummy so as to ensure my brain’s inability to connect any further dots or see any other parallels.
