Thanks 2020

so i got a story. I'm writing this here to get it out of my chest ,hopefully it will ease the load a bit, but also so i don't forget it, cause it in some parts i feels like part of a TV novela

so it was a week before Halloween and it was going to be my wife's birthday, which she shares with her dad.  her family calls her to insist she come over to their house , in Mexico, to spent a few days and celebrate together. obviously her family didn't  take the fact that there's a GLOBAL PANDEMIC very seriously. they keep insisting that she join them, and got ugly to the point of emotionally blackmailing her to do so. her birthday got ruined.  even thou my birthday got ruined i was hoping she didn't have to deal with that shit on hers. guess that wasn't on the cards.

Fat forwards week later, right after Halloween, her family calls her to inform us that they all got the "Rona". her dad, mom, sister, uncles, and grandma. guess that birthday party was a super spreader event. i would have be laughing if i wasn't worry for them health. thankfully their symptoms were mostly mild and the worst was a 5 day fever. now, finally, they take the pandemic seriously . all it took was them getting infected. sigh

its been a exhausting couple weeks, but 2020 wasn't done yet. last week a friend of mine died. not from the virus but from along battle with cancer. she had suffer for a while so i see it as the best possible outcome. the only thing i regret is not being able to say goodbye. that's how this year rolls and we have to roll with it.

at the then end of the day i gotta say thanks. even for all the shit this year has put me thru , i am thankful for it. i have a feeling it had to be this way, like we have to go thru some dark days to get to a brighter future.
