An iPhone portrait of Hana Rose.
In those days, we frequently captured images with a variety of cameras. On this particular day, we captured Hana Rose on 8x10 film, Polaroid, DSLR and iPhone. These days, new production small Polaroid film sucks so we don't use it, our stash of 8x10 Polaroid is used up, 8x10 b&w film is out because we no longer have a darkroom, leaving us with Instax and digital capture technology. I dabbled in wet plate for a while, but the process is toxic and a bit too slow for my pace of shooting. I sometimes fantasize about having a darkroom again, but it's probably not going to happen. Luckily I can make very high quality digital prints, so that takes the sting out of processes we have left behind.
