VHS - Movie Reaction

i seriously despise every character in this entire film. and as for the movie itself? well...

VHS - Movie Reaction

Comments

VHS2 is waaaaay better

Charles Sears

Yea you should definitely check out V/H/S 2, probably the best of the franchise

Michael Bruno

I never comment but the other films in this series drop the sexual violence aspect completely. Its simply too much here, so fucking rapey. Its really easy to watch VHS and then not want to watch the sequels but theyre better in every way

Nick Rosner

Obvious edits and strategic freeze frames seems to be the order of the day. Not good. Barely a step above Valentine's backyard films. A better film would be Siren 2016. (expansion of our winged friend in the first segment)

Natas Krad

I am BEGGING you to watch Mockingbird (2014). Itโ€™s one of my favorite found footage horror movies and itโ€™s extremely underrated!!

Taryn Pruett

I never seen any of them. I agree with your review of it. It def was ok and had some Good parts but the pacing made some parts boring.

La Toya Sheri

Please watch the series

Jon Kugler

VHS 2 is much better. IMO the best one. I'd recommend watching that movie.

Brent giesbrecht

I don't know if you mentioned it or not because I am not that far yet, but one of the parts was directed by radio silence, who made screams 5 and 6, but I am watching this late at night and dont' think ima finish it because I just got passed the on of the guy who got murdered in his sleep, and I wont sleep tonight

When long legs come out it will rejuvenate your interest in horror after these last few weak movies lmao trust me

Aodhan ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

I've never seen this. Let me check it out with one of my fav you tubers.

La Toya Sheri

The douchebags in VHS really makes me appreciate the characters in Blair Witch Project even more lol. They were all jerks at times in the Blair Witch Project, but they were still interesting and relatable

Henri J. Mertens

I think whenever Longlegs becomes available on streaming, you should react to it......it's probably the most unsettling movie I've watched in a long time, next to Mother!

Keely

Great Anthology Found Footage! The different stories can be a bit difficult but as far as found footage every story is done in excellent form. It revived and revitalized the found footage genre. Some really good directors came from that anthology, like David Bruckner who did The Ritual on Netflix. That being said, V/H/S 2 is a far better entry in this franchise. Eduardo Sanchez has a feature in that anthology called "A Ride in the Park" that is absolutely baller! If the name sounds familiar, he co-wrote and directed the Blair Witch Project. But the absolute banger in V/H/S 2 was Safe Haven. That feature left a mark on me... Yeah, let's just say if I had to join a cult, Indonesian cults are off the table!!! LOL

Raj Hudek

"this one feels like a high school film project" is sending me lmaoooo

Sophia Akbar

Watching at least a couple more is definitely worth it. I think you would want to see the rest if you do. The ramp up and introduction of the characters portion of each Short gets shorter and to the point. The characters end up being more likeable also which makes each climax even more exciting since for this one, i kind of want most of them to die anyways lol

spencer

Theyโ€™re all really good movies! They get more entertaining! The second one is by far the scariest

Andrew Tims

i haven't watched 2 and 3 but I've seen the ones with the year in the title. like the shudder original ones and those were phenomenal!

The Gamer's Club

Why did I think you reacted to this already??

dontrell Durant

The whole franchise is great! The second one is the best, third is the least best, but all of them are amazing

Andrew Tims

well this is hard to watch and im only six minutes in . . .

Kaitlin Hilton

a lot of the actors were also in youโ€™re next!

Lachlan Davis

And as for the movies in the franchise that I personally love the most, 2 is great along with pretty much the new trilogy with 94/99/85. The formula is much more refined by then.

Wesley Lara

The good thing about this franchise is that every installment is standalone. So if you hear good reviews about a certain installment and it's later in the series, you don't have to go through the other movies to understand what's going on. Only saying this since some of the movies are genuinely fun and the first movie is nowhere near the peak of the franchise as a whole. Hope you see some of the others in the future despite your experience with this one!

Wesley Lara

Im so hyped to watch this! one of my absolute favourite horror series, I hope you watch the others some time

Martyn Denvir

are you going to watch the other vhs movies i think they get better its been a while since ive seen them

Kelsea Avery

This was not the movie I expected you to watch

Cory

Hey, what a pleasant suprise!! I've meant to watch this movie for a while but haven't gotten around to it. I'm excited for this one!! Update: Yikes! That was a rough opener. : ( I now remember I did in fact see the first flying woman scene and perhaps why I didn't watch further... That last scene wasn't so bad. It was at least interesting and even funny. "Cast him down!!!" ... "Who are they, father?" XD

Niqua

He'll yeah, now I have something to look forward to after work!

Joe Nowakowski

CANNOT WAIT TO SEE YOUR REACTION TO THIS! Fun fact: the final short in this movie is directed by the Radio Silence team, who did Scream 5 and 6! And the second one is directed by Ti West!
