Horror movies in general are overlooked and it's so sad because some of the best acting performances come from horror movies whether the entertainment industry wants to acknowledge that or not. I think about Mia Goth in these movies, Florence Pugh in Midsommar, Alyssa Sutherland in Evil Dead Rise, Lupita Nyong'o in Us, Sophie Wilde in Talk To Me, Elizabeth Moss in The Invisible Man, Sosie Bacon in Smile, Ralph Fiennes in The Menu, and Sydney Sweeney in Immaculate. But being that these are horror movies, of course their performances are gonna be overlooked by an action movie or something.

2024-05-08 19:17:21 +0000 UTCIt's unfair that the academy usually doesn't pay much attention to horror as Mia Goth's performances in X/Pearl alongside Toni Collette in Hereditary, Lupita Nyong'o in Us and Florence Pugh in Midsommar have been some of many, many outstanding performances in the horror genre lately
