so for now, this one is just going to exist on patreon. i haven't decided if i'm going to make a youtube edit or just open this post up to everyone for a few days. truth is, i felt terrible when i filmed this. i had a headache that made it hard for me to focus and so i feel like i did a really bad job of analyzing anything. i should have just waited until i felt better, but i got impatient :p i'm sorry this one isn't the best β₯οΈ

I know I'm super late but I hope you are doing much better. It breaks my heart that you felt you needed to apologise for being unwell (though I completely get that). As much as we all love your reactions, your health & welling should always come first no matter what. And we adore your content no matter the quality. With that being said, thank you for once again perfectly describing the way Luke makes us all feel with his music. There is something so vulnerable & euphoric about his work that breaks my heart & warms my soul all at the same time. I agree that wfttwtaf still means so so much to me, but I definitely think this one will continue to grow on me more over time. I adore all of the songs & the relateable themes of nostalgia, youth & time anxiety. Though I can't help but feel that there is just something about Promises & Garden Life that I just can't shake. I dunno, maybe it's just the hopeless romantic in me. Anyway, as always, thank you π

About the I'm still your boy and boy theme : on Zack's show, he talked about this growing also in the context of his relationship with his partner. I think almost every song can be approached in both ways : his relation ship to himself and to Sierra, plus to other people as well. I think these multiple layers add to the feeling of being "in space", or to get taken by a stream

His voice is easily my favourite voice π©· I completely agree with you that Luke is such an underrated artist & makes music that so many people can relate to. More people should be listening to & loving Luke! I loved all of his EP Boy. Since it is short it's hard to pick favourites, but I would say currently my top 2 are I'm still your boy & garden life. But the entire EP is so special. But to me it doesn't surpass WFTTWTAF...that whole album completely has my heart π©· I'm definitely looking forward to seeing Luke when he tours in Australia!

This is the track I feel like I relate most to because, like Luke, I am also the youngest sibling and I live on the opposite end of the country from my sister and my niece (they're in Philadelphia and I'm in LA). I don't get to see them in person as often as I would like to and it feels like there's a tinge of guilt that I'm not getting enough time with them, especially as my niece grows up (she'll be a year and a half old next month). My favorite tracks are probably Shakes, Promises, and Close Enough To Feel You, but this whole album is so pretty and makes you feel like you're floating in some other world. I'm obsessed with the imagery and production on this project ππ
