The trailer totally leaves you intrigued and interested as to what the story is all about or key scenes being shown, trailers nowadays practically show you the whole movie hoping people will show up. Barbarian's marketing showed and proved that you can put butts in movie theater seats with a less is more styled trailer.

2023-08-02 04:02:20 +0000 UTCI loved the casting of this and how it made you question preconceived notions - going in to this, I thought Keith would 100% be bad because of the actor playing pennywise, and likewise, thought AJ would be more comedic/hero vibes from the work that actor had done previously. just such a fun movie to watch for the first time, truly never know where it's gonna go next

2023-04-05 13:51:15 +0000 UTCSo glad you watched this! I watched it on opening weekend in a packed art house vibe theater and it was one of the greatest movie watching experiences I’ve ever had. It was one of my top 10 films of last year. Such a fresh subversive take on horror which like you said not only gives you whiplash with all the twists and turns and cutting way left field to new characters but also has you cringing and screaming then deep in a mindfuck questioning why you’re feeling sympathy for the “villainous” characters and feeling guilty for judging the sketchy but harmless ones incorrectly. I loved how confused and conflicted you were - that’s exactly how I was the first time I saw it. Absolutely genius rollercoaster of a film! Thanks for giving me an excuse to watch it again!

2023-04-05 03:58:36 +0000 UTCA friend of mine recommended Barbarian to me saying it was just a great “stalker in a creepy house” kind of horror movie and I’ve never forgiven him lol. Seeing the mother character for the first time made my heart stop lol. Because it was completely unexpected
