Hey I’m sure you probably already know this and apologies for such a late comment but the woman who is with Katie in the first movie is just her friend, Amber, and yes they look eerily similar lol, but to answer your question, it’s a different actress playing Kristi (Katie’s sister) in this movie :)

It's called paranormal activity: the marked ones. It's not as bad as everyone thinks it is. I think you should watch it.

Thank you for including the movie as well - the watch along format most movie reactors use is so annoying. The story gets deeper as you go on. Can't wait for more. You jumping at the sunlight was humorous. I watched this movie when I was in my early teens, and it terrified me. The scene where the toy goes off while the girl is downstairs - did you notice it was in a different location the second time? That chilled me, I still consider that one of the creepiest scenes I've seen. You're right - everyone spends most of their first watch wondering how it could be happening to Katie's sister. The first 6 are tied together. Not the 7th. I thoroughly enjoyed all 6, and 3 is arguably my favorite. You have to watch all 6 for the full story.

2022-12-30 03:04:02 +0000 UTCTo answer some of your questions: 1) The first time Ali screamed with the air freshener in her hand, it was because Martine had sent a message to the Ninja Turtles and forgot to flush 2) The reason you don't hear Katie talk about Kristi in the first movie is because when Oren Peli made the original film on a production budget of $15,000, the ending was different. You can buy the alternate ending as well or find it on YouTube. I won't ruin it for you if you decide to watch it, but let's just say, it would be hard to make the current franchise with that ending. When the world wide box office was like $150 million plus, Paramount insisted on him changing the ending (and a few scenes in the movie) so they could make a franchise. 3) If you watch the third movie, you will find out the whole story of Katie and Kristie. 4) The rumble you were asking about as a weird sound was an Oren Peli original horror device. Because he never wanted you to see the demon (a key reason why I hate The Ghost Dimension), he devised that sound as a way to signify the demon's presence. It became standard in many found footage films as a way to signify the demon/ghost was present and in all honesty, it got way overused after that because it's a cheap and easy way for new filmmakers to create a "creep" factor. 5) The whole series is really worth a watch because they do a decent job. Unlike many people, I really enjoy The Marked Ones because they shy away from the whole "Set up still cams and let's see what happens" trope. I mean it's a great trope, but by the fourth movie you do get a little tired of it. The Blaire Witch Project put Found Footage Films on my radar, but it was the Paranormal Activity series that really made me a fan of the genre and caused me to do a deep dive into the world of Found Footage. There are a ton more good ones out there if you're interested. Let me know and I'll drop some titles. Either way, I've really enjoyed watching your reaction to horror films. I keep waiting for the next drop, now that I've seen all your reactions! Keep 'em coming!

Somewhere the demon must have gotten tired and misplaced the baby. Honestly this is where you should stop. Every other movie is just stupid. The demon wanted the baby and it has the baby. End of story.
