I think she was saying they fight all those scary horrible things to persevere the good in the world. Things like their daughter, her two new friends, your crush coming over with a guitar. Also the thing chasing bob is the Hell Hound from Ed and Loraines files. =)

Hellhound is another name for what we as Americans refer to as a werewolf.

Watch the original Annabelle, Annabella Higgins and her cultist boyfriend are members of the Cult of Ram in which they are carryings out the orders of it's leader, which according to some (fan) theories is Charles Manson.

They interviewed those affected by the entity, who told them that the Ferryman demanded a "toll", or else it would take the souls of the departed. Ed and Lorraine were able to collect coins from corpses that were cursed by the entity, and had them blessed and locked away in their occult museum. the bride came from the dress The Bride was first investigated by demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren after a series of deaths involving grooms at their weddings. According to their case file, the Bride was a ghost that possessed an elegant wedding dress. After being purchased and worn by brides-to-be, the Bride possessed the human bodies and used them to kill their grooms with knives. After the event, the dress would mysteriously be clean of blood, returning to its untarnished white color for its next victim. Seven grooms were lost before the Warrens intervened, obtaining custody of the dress, blessing it, and keeping it locked in their occult museum at their house.

The Warrens tied the deaths to the Hellhound known as the Black Shuck, and were able to bind and contain it to a book about it. They then took the book back to their home in the United States, blessed it, and locked it in their occult museum.

Like horror usually feels a bit empty without the scary factor but this movie’s storyline is actually decent so the fact that it isn’t super scary is kinda fine if that makes sense 😅 But for a horror fan this is probably not it.
