you could put it on a computer or laptop and hook up a hdmi cord or maybe play it on bluetooth if you have a way to share your screen with ur tv but i think the hdmi cord might be ur best bet hope that helps :)

Does anyone know if there's a way to play this on the tv? I thought about going through the vimeo app but I can't see it

LOVED this reaction, Caitlin! It is such a fantastic album. I was curious to see what you’d think because of the darker, more industrial edge to the music … Trent Reznor/Nine Inch Nails has been in my ears for the better part of 2 decades (“Closer” and “Hurt” are probably their most popular songs, my fave is probably “Sin”) so I was thrilled for this collaboration, and interested to see how other Halsey fans would react. It was cool to see you digging it so much! (Btw, I don’t know who told you “Metal” lol it’s not Metal, it’s Industrial … which it why you picked up on the machinery aspects of the soundscape. If you ever need an accurate guide into the finer aspects of darker genres, I’m your girl lol) I’m not sure of any specific Halsey/Lilith connection that had fans buzzing, but my hunch from the song lyrics (as well as some of her self-reflective lyrics in other songs) is that Halsey identifies with the mythology of the goddess Lilith (which is fascinating in and of itself, and I can understand why Halsey may feel a connection because Lilith mythology speaks a lot to female independence + agency, and to the duality of women’s sexual freedom.) Definitely the more I listen the more I’m becoming obsessed with this album, I don’t know if I can pick a fave song! Definitely still cry on “Darling” and “Ya’aburnee” (also am high key emotional when listening to music and when she came out with those it was like, “shit I thought we weren’t crying today… oh well, here we go. Hi tears, welcome back.” — FWIW, Halsey’s “IICHLIWP” and Big Red Machine’s “How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last?” are on repeat in my home… it’s definitely been some big mood days. Lol). Love the viciousness in “The Lighthouse” and “Easier Than Lying” (and OMG the -transition- from “Bells in Santa Fe”), but like “The Tradition”, “Lilith”, “Girl is a Gun”, “You Asked For This”, “honey”, “Whispers”, ugh… all of it… just loves. Btw, was it just me or is Trent harmonizing with Halsey on the end of “The Lighthouse” (on the “and the waves come crashing down” part)? It’s very subtle, but I think I hear his voice. Also when you talk about the chorus of “The Tradition” sounding like chant, I felt that too and I think seeing the album artwork, it’s reminiscent of Gregorian chant found in the Catholic Church, and it’s a whole play on the Madonna/Whore dichotomy and tradition/patriarchy/the music industry vs women/female artists coming into their own. Thanks for the reaction! Love what you do! (PS if this posted double, In sorry. I thought I posted this comment but then I don’t see it coming up.)

Literally whoever told you it was a 'metal' album ... has clearly never listened to true metal music 😅 This is her BEST project yet, ESPECIALLY lyrically. It's 'punk' or 'rock' at BEST, but it's still punk pop and it just fits them PERFECTLY. I am so proud of Halsey. Truly an iconic project and an immaculate story-telling album. WATCH THE FILM if you can 🤩

Ya’aburnee is definitely going to be in my top 5 songs of 2021.. there are no words to display how it made me feel and how well it described the detrimental loss of a child can be to someone.

The way you said that the end of Lilith sounded like machinery got me thinking about how the song could be about the music industry. She mentions that she’s scared of being seen as “mean”, which could reference how female artists are held to such high standards. Then, her mentioning that she’s been corrupted and the more she gives, the more that “they” take, which could be about offering up your personal struggles in exchange for art to be consumed by the world.

Oh the Lilith thing is not about Halsey. Lilith is in some cultures the first female before eve and was banished and became lucifers wife.

We love a callback to Badlands in "you asked for this" Castle " Now my neck is open wide begging for a fist around it. Already choking on my pride so there's no use crying about it"' you asked for this: " I want a fist around my throat. I wanna cry so hard I choke"
