This is my fav Marina album π₯° the fact that she wrote it all herself, all the powerful messages and different melodies that she encapsulated in only ten songs, the artwork, even the deluxe tracks have no skips. Marina is aging like wine and so is her artistry ππ€©

She went back to writing the entire album all by herself and her personality was back in full form. So many little elements of the songs bring me back to TFJ or Electra Heart, like the chorus melody of Pandora's Box or the high vocal in Venus Fly Trap on the line "I did it my way, baby"

That genius annotation about Pandora's Box is mine! The one where I say it seems to suggest she was cheated on by her ex. That made me so excited for no reason. I put a lot of thought into analyzing her more personal songs on this album, because they're very special to me. This album overall is almost catching up with TFJ in my heart. I've always been a sucker for TFJ, and I've been a Marina fan for ten years now. Your reactions are very entertaining to watch, and I love the reflections you get by listening to this album. You seem to have a very kind personality, and I'm hooked! I'll definitely check out more of your stuff.

2021-07-07 15:55:59 +0000 UTCHEY i used to be a patron a couple months ago but then i was extremely broke and had to cut back on like.. everything except for food and gas money LMAO but i have a job again and im back :^))) i wanted to share my opinion on the whole "witch/bitch" rhyme happening in back to back songs because at first i didn't like it but now after a couple listens i do!! in my opinion in man's world she uses the words to show how they have been used to attack and put women down, used as insults by men to degrade women. but then in purge the poison she basically shows that we DON'T have to live in a man's world anymore and we are capable of purging the poison of things like misogyny, and she shows it by reusing those same "insults" but showing them as positive things about women. like "my friends are bitches (affectionate)."
