2021-04-30 18:31:14 +0000 UTCKorean is one of the hardest languages to learn that's why it's so confusing to understand because it's so different from English, not only in language but also in culture. I've been learning Korean for almost a year through LingoDeer, K-dramas, as well as watching BTS Run, BonVoyage, etc, and just learning the basics has helped me not only understand the RunBTS games more but also Korean culture. Not saying that you have to learn the language, but the more BTS and South Korean content that you watch, the easier it gets to understand what's happening so don't get frustrated with yourself. You know more about the South Korean language and culture than you did when you first started watching and when you get to episode 100 you're gonna know more then than you do now.

2021-04-30 17:10:48 +0000 UTCI don’t know if it helps if I try to explain the word game, because I‘m not a native korean speaker (also not a native english speaker) but I can try to my best extant 🙈 So they basically got a newly coined word which consists of normal everyday used words, so basically a abbreviation. For example: Jungkook got the word „애빼시” (romanized: aepaeshi“) which consists of the syllables 애 = ae , 빼 = pae and 시 = s(h)i. Each of those syllables are the initial syllables of other words, so: 애 -> 애교 (aegyo) = acting cute 빼 -> 빼면 (paemyeon) = without 시 -> 시체야 (sicheya) = lit. „a dead body“ -> nothing so if you put everything together the newly coined word aepaeshi means „I‘m nothing without acting cute“ Examples for this game in English would be: TMI -> too much information lol -> laughing out loud ... I hope this somehow explained it a little bit. If I made a mistake somewhere and you would like to correct or add something to my explanation please do so! ☺️
