the struggle is real... :/

the struggle has been real this past week. 

I've also been looking into other programs to compile my comics with since sometimes Comic Life 3 is buggy or doesn't allow me to create certain effects. It's an amazing program to put comics together, but there are some limitations to that program. 

I love Clip Studio Paint since it offers drawing capabilities and other stuff. I believe it is more geared towards manga. I've tried switching my work from Comic Life 3 to Clip Studio and it hasn't been too good. Clip Studio files are outrageously large. Since I'm doing mainly comics in a format of a single panel per page, I can't justify doing comics on Clip Studio. Each page is around 10-20mb while the image rendered is around 3-5mb. So doing at least 80 pages will almost get the file size up to 1gb. Most of the Comic Life 3 files average at 300-500mb so there is a big difference in why I haven't made the jump to Clip Studio yet.

However, I plan to try traditional comic format where each page would have more than one panel. I like that format because you can let your eyes glance quickly over the page, but I also enjoy the single panel page format because you can see the scene much more clearer and larger. 

I love using Comic Life 3 because there are comic presets ready. Speech balloons are all there, but I don't like how I don't have much flexibility for certain styles. There's other issues I have with this program, but it's been doing me well with all my past comics so I shouldn't complain too much. 

There are pros and cons to each and I'll see what I can do to find the middle ground between these two formats.
